An all around fail. My husband and I went to Smokey Bones in Fredericksburg last night, and I honestly cannot say that any part of our experience was very good. For starters, when we arrived, we were told a 10 minute wait. There was only one couple in front of us, and after about 10 minutes, together we all watched three separate tables leave. The other couple got seated 5 minutes later, and then we were left to sit for another 10 minutes after that. Ten does not equal twenty-five. Also, we KNOW there were open tables.Understaffed: When we were finally seated, the seating area had about 6 empty tables. 3 of them had dirty stuff on them. It was clear they were understaffed, and nobody seemed to want to bus tables. Not only are people waiting to sit at those tables, but its just not cool to leave dirty tables for other diners to look at. I’ve worked at restaurants, and that is a huge no-no. Some of those tables were still dirty when we left.More Waiting: Our waitress came and took our drink order (waters all around), and then did not reappear for over 10 minutes. We still haven’t figured out where she went. She finally returned with our one and only beverage. Refills did not make an appearance at any time during the night. The Grub: Our food (my baked potato and a salad, and my husbands cheeseburger) came out in enough time, but we’re pretty sure it sat under the heat lamp for a bit. It wasn’t terribly hot, and his fries definitely had that texture of having sat there for too long. And, if you can imagine it, my Ceasar salad was somehow dry. I’m not sure how you mess up a Ceasar salad, but it was basically lettuce and dressing with one crouton. It wasn’t displayed nicely, and it wasn’t particularly good. And More Waiting: As soon as our waitress saw we were getting to the end, she dropped off our check and didn’t return for another 20 minutes. When she did return, rather than taking care of our check, she saw it more pertinent to sit in the booth across from us and chat with the two older gentleman also seated there.All in all, we were pretty disappointed. I’ve been to another Smokey Bones and enjoyed it, but it seems like there are some serious staffing and management issues going on at this location. Poor service and lackluster food do not make happy diners.

Not Good At All!!. Even the good service could not make up for the food..don’t bother!!
