As someone who lived in Southern Germany for three years and still travels there, I was sceptical for the 2 1/2 years I’ve walked by this place. Short review: I should have come in sooner.I ordered off their Oktoberfest menu, beef over dumplings with a horseradish cream sauce. I also had the green beans and red cabbage. I’ll start with the sides: warm red cabbage was very tasty with just the right tang. The green beans were actually a medley of green bean, carrot, and mushroom…a nice surprise. On to the entree: the beef was very nicely done and the dumplings were more of a set of potato pancakes, which I like very much. The sauce was very good, and not overpowering. I love horseradish, but even the non horseradish person would love this sauce. All this was accompanied, of course, by a Hoffbrau dunkel. It’s not the cheapest place in town, but you get a very healthy portion and the quality was outstanding.
Great Genuine German Cuisine. The food was absolutely magnificent I would recommend it to anyone that likes your European or German food. The atmosphere was quaint and semi romantic. Service was fantastic and fast.
