Not so great. Wegmans is great unless you want to drink, I went in and got a bottle of wine and some beer tonight before the Super Bowl and they would not letMe purchase because who I was with my 18 year old daughter didn’t have a id, even though she was not purchasing alcohol and hello I’m her mother. It would be one thing if they pushed that POLICY on the regular but I have been there numerous times to get wine and have never had everyone in my party who was waiting in line with have to be carded. Get it together.Never will I go there again with there ignorant staff.
Want a GREAT Sub?. The Old Fashion Sub Shop is derived from a deli that started in Rochester, NY. DiBella’s Subs, which Wegman modeled his sub shop after, are the best I have ever had anywhere, hands down. Wegman’s is a fairly close second… it’s ALL about the bread, which they get from DiBellas. Do it…
Holy cow! I have never seen a restaurant in a grocery store before… But then again I had never been in a Wegmans (hands down the best grocery ever). While my husband and I were in Fredericksburg for work, we tried Wegmans and were blown away! The restaurant is super quaint with great ambiance. They cook ultra fresh seafood right in front of you. The steamed clams are amazing, as is the crab bisque, sea scallops and salmon entre. Simply delicious… And so FRESH. My only regret is that I actually live in Arlington and there is no Wegmans!!:( wish I could take this place home with me!!
Thumbs up. I just want to know who didn’t give it a thumbs up and why. The food is freshly prepared in front of you and always consistent. Best seafood in Fredericksburg.
Seafood Restaurant. Stop in here one day and try the little seafood restaurant in the seafood dept. The shrimp cocktail is yummy! The crab cakes were very good too.No complaints at all, have eaten here about 6 times so far.
I pretty much live here. Wegmans is the only grocery store that i will shop at in Fredericksburg. before Wegmans came to town, i did my shopping almost exclusively in Northern Virginia or Richmond at Trader Joes (pricing that simply cant be beat and many extremely interesting items) and Whole Foods Market (i am a very healthy eater and observe a vegan diet, which Whole Foods obviously caters to abundantly). i do not shop at Bloom because i find this place to be horribly overpriced and i am not going to lower myself to being taken advantage of so blatantly. i do not shop at Food Lion, Bottom Dollar, Giant (though Giant has a good reputation historically) etc except for when i need something basic and one of these locations is quite nearby; i prefer to give my business to Wegmans.Wegmans truly cares. they care in such a multidimensional way. they care about fair pricing; they care about customer service; they care about aesthetics; they care about providing us with many a party brew; they care about the vegans, granola heads, and hippies. every time i come here, i have a superb experience. not once have i been disappointed. its like the Disneyland of grocery stores.
