There’s Bad & then there’s Big Woody’s. Wow… gotta say this is going to be the worst review I’ve given in long time. From the get go I felt a weird vibe when we stepped in for lunch. No one seated us so we ended up sitting at the bar. After listening to some of that chatter at the bar I realized, there may not be a rebel flag hanging on the wall but the ‘old south’ sure seemed to be alive here.Our bartender was nice and got us some iced tea and my co-worker and I ordered lunch. I chose the Spicy Garlic Parmesan wings and he ordered a Grilled Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. While waiting for lunch I noticed they had both kinds of music on the radio. Country and Western. A waitress who was had been filling salt and pepper shakers at a table behind us dropped them all over the floor. No matter, she picked them up and disbursed them on the tables like nothing had happened.Our food eventually arrived and I received my wings in one basket and the fries in second one. My wings had been coated in something, but I’m not sure what. No sauce I’m familiar with. They also smelled funny. Not bad per say, but different. There was nothing spicy about them, or any garlic on them from what I could tell. I could see some Parmesan but that’s about it. This is not the kind of place I would send my food back to the kitchen so I ate about half the wings and left the rest. The fries were okay. I also noticed after lunch I had to wash my hands a couple of times to fully remove the odor from the wings as well. My co-worker said his sandwich wasn’t any better. I know this is a bar per say, but even for bar food this was pitiful.We paid the bill and left. I’m obviously never going to step foot in here again as there are so many better wing choices in the area. However if you’re out on your swamp boat with the big fan on the back or just in need of a good slumming, this is the place for you. Enjoy.
Not worth my time. Went in for lunch with my family. It was terrible from the start. the hostess was rude. it took about 10-15 minutes before a server even approached our table to take our drink order (meanwhile you see our server just hanging around chatting). Add in another 10 minutes for our drinks to actually show up at our table. Even though we weren’t sure of the place at that point, we tried giving them the benefit of the doubt and placed our food order. After waiting again for a while, we decide we’d had enough of the poor service and sorry attitudes of the staff, so my husband informed the server we’d like to pay for our drinks and go. She just then decides to say our food will be out soon, but my husband also tries speaking with a manager only to receive yet more attitude. The manager then just walks away from my husband. If that’s the service they give, I have no interest in the food. We left and will not be back.
Gross the food is 7-11 quality and there’s nothing but a bunch of teenie boppers running around acting like idiots no wonder they need security on a nightly basis
The best Bar/Restaurant to happen in Chesapeake!. There is never a dull moment there. The food is outstanding, the bands are always right on, and the staff and management are always looking out for you. Will go back again and again to see how much fun all have there. Just FUN times!
LOVE THIS PLACE. Disagree with prior posts – all you can eat wings is a great deal. Waitresses work hard and are extremely friendly. Have eaten my way through the menu, all is great. Love the deck in warm weather. If you are in a hurry, hit up McDonalds. If you want fun, relaxed atmosphere, hit up Big Woody’s!
All you can WAIT wings. The all you can eat wings was a joke. They only give you five at a time. If that was not bad enough it took them twenty minutes between each refill. The waitresses left something to be desired. They knew nothing about their menus and completely botched the stipulations of their specials. Big Woody’s is a joke of an establishment.
