Worst Ever. This is by far the worst place I have ever been to. Not just for a Mexican restaurant, but overall. The fajitas were not made with any form of steak what so ever, the meat tasted like bottom round roast. The Chimichangas had very little shredded meat inside and the used potato and carrot as filler. The rice was dry and no flavor at all. They also served a dish called avocado salad which consisted of some romaine lettuce, red onion, tomato and about 5 small chunks of avocado. They should be ashamed to even remotely consider themselves a Mexican restaurant.
Not good. I ordered the 3 taco plate and the beef wasnt seasoned at all, it was almost like boiled ground beef, very bland. they were also using shreaded lettuce to fill the taco all the way. If the kitchen is as clean as the dining area its probably a good idea to not eat there again. The salsa SUCKED! How can you screw that up, it was watery redish and extremely tart like they blended canned tomatoes on high and added water. I ordered a side of guac and for $2 it was only enough for 2 tacos and im not heavy on it. the place needs to have smelly carpet removed and some serious cleaning on top of better food standards.
Not real mexican. You know it is bad when even the salsa sucks. It is very hard to get good mexican in hampton roads. After moving back from texas i have given up on going out for mexican here. food is better at chili’s.
Could have gone down the street to Plaza Azteca and had better quality food. Won’t be coming back.

The Best Tacos. I first tried this place at the Richmond, Va location and I fell in love with their tacos and the different varieties they offer. I was even more pleased to discover that there was an El Toro Loco in Chesapeake not far from where I live. They don’t serve sour cream or cheese on their tacos but you can request either or both on the side and fix it up on your plate which is what I do. Once your sour cream and cheese are installed you’ll be in taco heaven!
