This was truly the worst sushi I have ever had! The sushi seemed to have been soaked in dirty water. It’s a shame since they are so close to where I live. Try Haru! It’s fantastic!
This place was nice and the food was very good but the service was quite disturbing. I never had annoying service where they stood over u and wait for url dish. My husband was in the middle of eating his mangolian beef when the server who looked 12 asked if he wanted a box. He said no. I guess cuz we were the only ones in the restaurant
Since Mikado first opened, I have been there approximately 6-8 times. Each and every time the service has been excellent and the food has been amazing. After the first few times I have made the effort to bring new people to Mikado. Although there is no hibachi grill with fancy knife work, the hibachi menu is my favorite. Best thing about Mikado, is prices are very reasonable.
I’ve probably been here a dozen times now. Each time seems to get better. The staff is extremely friendly and remembers me when I come in. I haven’t found better sushi anywhere.31 Oct, 2010Great sushi place. Owner did sushi for 15 plus years in New York before opening this place in Chesapeake. Best sushi I’ve ever had and it’s in Great Bridge of all places! I haven’t ordered any of the thai food because the sushi is so good, but from what my girlfriend says, that’s pretty good as well.

Mikado #1. OKAY…i just want to say that Mikado better make the Best of Chesapeake winner for 2010 for Sushi! The staff is very nice and memoriable to there customers. My husband and kids loves this place. We eat there like once a week.. They automatcally know that my husband eats 3 servings of there white rice with butter, salt, and a fork. We have no complaints!
Great place….even for someone that doesn’t like sushi. I’m a BIG fan of sushi! My wife isn’t even slightly a fan. She doesn’t like it at all. When Mikado first opened I received a mailer and told my wife I wanted to go at some point. So we did for lunch shortly after they opened. Again, she’s not a sushi eater. She did find something that she thoroughly enjoyed. I had sushi of course and was quite impressed. The presentation of both our meals was great. The good itself was very tasty. Overall it was a great experience. What could I write that needs improvement? The only thing I could write is that on the day we were there they were short-staffed. Other than that the food was great. The place was clean and not scary. We will return.
