I will not be going here again.. I had a rest.com gift cert to use, so thought Iwould pick up an assortment of take out. It was 6pm on a Friday, there was one couple seated in the whole place. My wait time was approx. 20 min. one other couple came in while I waited .The dining room was attractive and appeared quite clean. The small cluttered bar, waiting area, well not so much. The two different soups I ordered tasted exactly the same ($6. for a small) no chicken or shrimp to be found in either one..the steamed spring rolls were quite good. The chicken satay was nasty, small and overpriced. Couldn’t quite figure out the taste, perhaps not fresh chicken, unable to eat. The shrimp and baby corn was so unappealing(should have taken a pic) it was difficult to comprehend. It was in the $13. range and had exactly 6 tiny overcooked tough shrimp mixed with an entire can of (canny tasting) baby corn floating in a repulsive grey liquid. My thought was a good assortment of things, we would have much to pick at the next day, NO. It was $46.00 and not even a good meal for two. The grey corn dish and satay went to the raccoons and we had 2 spring rolls for later.
Best and most authentic Thai food in Hampton Roads. Fresh and very tasty food. Good vegetarian selection. To the negative reviewers- you get what you pay for.
Went with lunch party of 3. Fresh spring rolls were delicious as appetizer. Tom yum soup was flavorful and the curries were also great. Fulfilling and great lunch.
Terrible service, terrible food. Spring rolls were not fresh, seemed like something you would get out of the frozen section at a grocery store and microwave. Very disappointed.
Food was nasty and they would not even give me a replacement since I did not like my food. Service was horrible, the owner walked over to our table several times and never spoke even though our plates were not touched. Will never visit this restaurant again, thank you Taco Bell for feeding me since I did not eat any of my food at this place.
Not going again. 2 bowls of soup, app of chicken satay(4), and combination fried rice, ( had 2 small shrimp , very little pork, some chicken, we had , water and it was $32.00 plus tip , so not worth it. It use to be so much better. Prices for what you get , sooo overpriced. Won’t be in business much longer. Maybe that’s why they are over charging.
Not worth the money. I frequent a few Thai locations in Vabch and decided to try Royal Thai which is closer to my home. I was far from impressed. In comparrison to other places I go to they are more expensive and food quality is lower. for example Royal Thai provided a cup of soup wlile your waiting for the meal and It was like cambells chicken noodle blended in a blender until the consistency of gravy. The other places provide a salad with asian dressing and an springroll. The Lunch portion was a bit smaller and they charge extra if you want meat in your meal so the menu price is based on veggie only eventhough it list the meat options. There is a small line at the bottom of the menu that meat is extra and thought it was kinda sneeky. I wont return
