The food is amazing and the prices are less than other sushi and hibachi places that I’ve been to that are half as good! The only complaint I have is that the servers are usually not on par. This is my favorite place to go for Japanese and we won’t go anywhere else if we can help it. We go at least 2-3 times a month and the last few months, the servers have just not been with it. They take a very long time, even when it’s slow and the food is ready, so it arrives at the table cold, and many of them are not even remotely attentive. I don’t like to be harassed at the table every five minutes, but it would be nice if my drink was filled when it’s been empty for twenty minutes, which has happened several times at Shiki. We keep coming back for the food and the owner, but the servers could use some work.
Great sushi. Place has the best sushi in Chesapeake but if you don’t get the owner as a waiter you will not get the best service, the two waitress run around and act like they are busy and won’t even acknowledge you, I waited ten minutes for drinks and there is only two tables here. But the food is great wish the service was better.
