Breakfast food is okay, but lunch and dinner items are average to poor. The food seems to have taken a turn for the worse in the last year.
Their food is consistently good. I’ve had tasty salads, fish and a burger there. I just wish they would train their staff better or get more staff. Every time I go I’m spending half my time looking for my server. Drinks get forgotten, dirty dishes are left on the table. So while you’ll get good food you won’t get good service01 Apr, 2012Food was quite tasty. Unfortunately the inexperienced, young wait staff made it less enjoyable. Not attentive, easily confused, clearly their priorities were elsewhere
Crabmeat + burger = perfection. We love their hamburgers, and especially love the one with crab meat on top. The burgers are big and juicy. Tons of options. Crab cakes are good, chicken was good- honestly haven’t had anything that wasn’t good. There always seem to be plenty of specials, and there are often events, gatherings, etc. Good barbecue- wish they had the BBQ potato skins like Riverbound. Nice, friendly, local feel.
I’ve tried to like it cuz it’s close to home but the terrible service, average food. (that’s slow to arrive no matter what time of day/night) & high prices make it nearly impossible to like.
Nice Neighborhood Hangout. Marty’s is a nice place with generally pretty good food and friendly efficient service. Our last visit was a bit of a disappointment though. One of us got a rib eye and the other a flat iron steak special. The rib eye was so tough and full of gristle it could barely be cut. The flat iron which was ordered medium came our very rare and had to be sent back. It came back cooked a little more but still had kind of a funky flavor to it. My wife took two bites and could not eat the rest. We’ve been other times and the sandwiches, salads, and wraps have all been very good. We’ll certainly be back but will just stay away from the high end steaks in the future.
We dine at Marty’s a few times a month. I often try one of the evening’s specials and I am rarely disappointed. Breakfast provides my favorite dish-the After the Run omelette. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive
OK…. Been wanting to try this place for a while. Went for brunch… And I found it average. And, I guess expensive for what it was. Had the hash…
