Best Thai food Ive ever had!. Found this tiny restaurant next to a train track in the Middle-of-Nowhere, Mechanicsville and fell in LOVE. I ordered the massaman curry with beef- the sweet curry was excellently paired with crunchy peanuts and flaky beef. My mother ordered the green curry with shrimp- her broth had just the right combination of spice and cream that was balanced with fat, succulent little shrimp. Both dishes were served with perfectly steamed Jasmine rice- just the right sticky vehicle for the delicious broths in our curries. Everything was wonderfully fresh… Which was obvious from the extensive garden just outside the front door of the restaurant! There were dozens of beautiful pepper, eggplant, and cucumber plants. It really added to the experience, knowing the chefs had fresh, local ingredients growing right at their fingertips. We will definitely be back for more!
OMG. ITS AWESOME. We found this place online while passing by. It’s in an old building we drive right by and almost didn’t go in after we found it but I’m so glad we did. The service was so great. The food came fast and the drunkeb noodle and shattay chicken was amazing. So was the fried banana dessert. We are planning the next time we can drive the 6 hours so we can eat here again.
Yum, Good stuff …. Love the pad thai! Service is good, not very communicative servers but they get the job done. Eaten there twice and the food was spot on. Fresh Thai chili is used and they sell them as well 🙂 Good stuff, recommended.
Pad see ew!!. I have only gotten take out and it is delicious! I love the pad see ew. The spring rolls and the satay are really good. The dipping sauces are awesome that come with the satay!!! I could eat a shoe if it was served with those sauces!!
The food is good, service is poor. They mixed up our bill and we had to find the guy to get our credit card back.
Best Red Curry in Town!. I love Thai food and I’ve been to almost all the Thai places in town and I can honestly say that no other place comes close to the red curry at Pad Thai. I can’t say anything for the rest of the items on the menu as the curry is so good I haven’t tried anything else. The service can be hit or miss, but is mostly decent. But again, if you’re going to Pad Thai get the red curry, you won’t be disappointed!
Excellent food!. I was disappointed when they raised their prices, I think they are pushing it a bit. The layout of the restaurant does not make for the best atmosphere and the service is certainly nothing to write home about. I do, however, believe the matriarch of that family business has some terrific and authentic recipes. Their Pad Thai dish is one of the best I’ve ever had!
