Very mediocre dining experience. Service is just okay, and besides the guacamole, I was pretty disappointed. I love Mexican food, but there seems to be a shortage in this area for good quality options.
LOVE IT!. I got here at least once a week and the food here is phenomenal! I am in love with their chimichangas, enchiladas, and burritos. There are other great things as well but these are the menu items I order often. I love their guacamole and homemade ice cream too! There’s just so much flavor in their food.You have to try the Patron in Mechanicsville if your into mexican! Here’s a tip for ya, I tried the other locations thinking it was gonna be the same and when I went back to Mechanicsville I asked the manager why there’s such a different in flavor and service. The manager told me that Mechanicsville is not in business with the others and they have nothing to do with them.
Newer mexican joint….. I like mexican food so i always try out a new place and this place being 5 minutes form my house doesn’t hurt either.The food there has a little more flavor than either mexico or don pedros and their chips and salsa is much better. They also make guacamole tableside which is a nice touch but at $8 it is a little pricey and they really need to remove the tip jar from the maker’s cart because it is a little much to ask for an additional tip for an $8 bowl of guac.I have tried their burritos, carnitas and their fajita burrito. All the food was flavorfull with the exception of the chef’s special with a poblano sauce that was not that good. It is not that it was bad but it was just average and lacked flavor that i was expecting.Service has been very good with just the right amount of attention without being overbearing and they are very helpful when accomodating my 2 year old son as far as seating and adjusting standard menu items.It is now my go ot mexican place.

The guacamole is out of this world. I would go back just for that. Lunch was good, I wouldn’t get my potato enchiladas again but that’s what you get for trying something different. My husband loved his enchiladas verdes, better than Mexico’s or Don Pedro’s. The salsa wasn’t as good ad Mexico’s but I can overlook that for the guac.
Not worth the guacamole. The guacamole was great, no doubt, but the service was poor. The quality of the food was not much different than any other Mexican place in MVL. We will try it again. Maybe our next experience will be better.
