Fast service, great atmosphere and friendly staff. The pizza selection has both classics and fun and creative combinations. They make 10′ pizzas which are the perfect size. They also have a great beer selection with lots of local beers. Highly recommended! Not a 5.0 because one pizza came with burnt crust.
This is a cool place. The seating is laid out in a bit of an unusual but fun way. The glass windows are ceiling to floor and can be opened for more seating. The service is prompt and the food is delicious! It can be a little pricey but for your special night out, this is a great spot to go. Be wary of going on big game night as this is a college town and it can get loud and obnoxious but on the whole, this is a nice date night spot.
Pizza is everywhere in Harrisonburg! Bella Luna has a delicious crust with that especially doughy taste, which sets it apart. Rotating chef’s specials are nice – I enjoyed the asparagus and kale that I once had. Apparently they have a $5 pizza happy hour, which I must try sometime, because while good, they are a bit expensive. The atmosphere of the historic livery building can’t be beat, however. Exposed wooden beams covered in fairy lights, a giant open wall for an entrance, and the huge brick oven – utterly charming.
Overall, my experience here was very positive. We arrived at 9:30pm though for a graduation dinner (one of the busiest weekends for the area) and I was shocked to find that the kitchen and bar closed at 10pm! Other than that, the food was great. The pizza is all organic, wheat crust which I appreciated. The atmosphere was also very well done – open, airy, and just a solid aesthetic. massmusings.com
