So impressed with this restaurant! I am a native Floridian and grew up on Cuban food and Cuban-fusion. The only way Cuban burger could be more authentic, IMO, is to 1)Put out some dominoes on the sidewalk and always have baseball playing. Otherwise, this place hits it right out of the park! The food is incredible and delicious! It’s taste and texture is right on the money! The atmosphere is warm and inviting during the day and at night it has little more of a bar feel but not too much. The servers know their stuff and check in appropriately. I will add that I would enjoy my Cubano with a little more butter on the bread and mayo inside like abuelita does but otherwise, its perfecto!
I love Cubanburger. Love it. The painted brick walls with the island’s silhouette, the black and white photos of mid-20th century Cubans hanging on the walls, the traditional music playing in the background – I could hang out all day. The food is delicious too, from the traditional Cubano sandwich to treats like maduros and other authentic tastes. Cubanburger also has a great happy hour – $3 off all cocktails, and what cocktails they are. These guys do amazing things with rum. Best rum runner I’ve ever had, for one thing. They also serve the traditional Brazilian cocktail, the caipirinha; it’s not to my taste, but I have at least one friend who enjoys it and I just like the fact that it’s available. And if you’re visiting the bar and Paul is your bartender, it’s your lucky day!
