Entertainment!. This place has delicious food, but we go there for the show. Its so entertaining. We only go on special occasions, so just a couple days a year. The only guy worth going to now though is the shortest guy in the picture. He is so hilarious, all the others are boring and dry.

Awesome. Unbelievably delicious food. Very good prices. I’m from Northern VA so I’m used to way over priced Japanese steakhouses. Service is always friendly and fun. To go is very fast. Use the yum-yum sauce, it’s so good!!The fried rice is super good.

Good Food, Little Wait!. First off, you don’t need to make a reservation. We always go on a weeknight, and they are quick to seat us when we arrive. It is a typical Japanese steakhouse with entertaining chefs. In our party, we tried the steak, chicken and shrimp, and we were pleased with all three. As a family, we frequently visit several different Japanese steakhouses, and this is our favorite!

Typical Teppanyaki. Teppanyaki restaurants are pretty popular and therefore there are lots and lots of them. I wouldn’t say Kyoto is the best (or the worst) out there. The interesting thing about Kyoto is how they manage the crowd (I have just defined myself to you as a geek).Reservations are a good idea but it’s no problem if you don’t. The restaurant has a pretty large waiting area which I at first thought were just regular dining tables. Nope, it’s for waiting only. Seems like a waste of retail space, but the staff really does a great job of herding you (yeah it kinda felt like herding) through the process of getting your butt into a seat at the teppanyaki table.Once there, it’s your typical teppanyaki experience. All-in-all we waited comfortably for 50 mins on a Saturday night and then had a pretty good meal presented by a pretty good teppanyaki chef. Not bad.

Best Sushi in Area. First thing to remember, sushi is all frozen, that’s how it becomes sushi grade. You flash freeze the fish, and that kills the microbes and bacteria inside. So you can’t say one place is more fresh than another because they are all frozen. That said, this place has the best sushi chef in at least 100 miles. I’ve been to every place I can think of, and this place tops them all. They pay attention to details, so it’s made right. The rolls don’t fall apart and the nigiri is tasty because they put mirin in the rice when they make it.I recommend going to their lunch special, it’s $1 for a piece. Can’t beat that anywhere.
