PLEASE GO HERE. Sweetest staff, amazing food. Get you a side of pickled veggies while your at it. Veggie chili is the best. My hubs and I are really into chili, I’m not really into meat so I’m obsessed with trying veggie chili everywhere I go. I loved it so much that I ordered more to take home. My hubs and I are all about voting with our dollars and we’re very pro-worker-co-op so we didn’t hesitate to order more to take home. Super reasonably priced too. Awesome place.
The Little Grill is a Harrisonburg institution, so reviewing it seems a bit unnecessary. The restaurant is always packed on weekend mornings, so be prepared to wait on the sidewalk beside a fairly major road. Parking is also an issue. If you can get in, it’s worth it to experience this worker owned greasy spoon with the most hippy-dippy atmosphere in the area. I’m a sucker for breakfast, so I’ve only ever eaten breakfast there. The huevos rancheros are some of the best I’ve ever had. The revolving pancake menu is enough to break any diet. (One pancake should be enough for the average eater; perhaps two for a football player!) I’ve also tried the Greek omelet, which I found to have a bit too much egg and too little filing – just not my style. Overall, delicious and delightful. Don’t forget to hit the ATM before you visit this cash-only gem!
