Outstanding Experience. If you’re in or near Harrisonburg, VA and looking for an alternative to the wings, steak, burger and rib joints, or you’re just interested in international cuisine or love Indian food, this is the place to go. As a New York foodie, here to perform at James Madison U., who has eaten Indian food around the world, I was extremely impressed by the high quality of the food, the friendly, efficient service and the extremely reasonable prices. An outstanding, casual dining experience all the way around.

Favorite Indian Restaurant. I absolutely love international food as well as trying new things, so I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. That was 3 years ago, and I still go there every time I get the chance! All I can say is, WOW. When you walk in, the smell of curry fills your nostrils, giving off a comfortable but welcoming air about the place. Bright colours, Indian art and authentic music (played loud enough to hear, but not so loud it’s a distraction or nuisance) help to create the upbeat, but relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. The food is excellent, flavourful and fresh. The employees are friendly and courteous, and service staff are quick, attentive and efficient.I like doing the weekday lunch buffet, it’s $8.95 for all-you-can-eat. Yes, it’s a little pricey(er) than some buffets around, but the quality and culinary adventure which results are well-worth the price. The buffet changes everyday, so the spread is never the exact same as the day before, although well-known items and popular dishes are consistently present (such as the chicken tikka masala and karahi chicken).I’ve never had a bad experience here, and always leave full and satisfied, but not uncomfortably stuffed. Everything is delicious, you can’t go wrong with any choice on the menu. Taste of India is definitely worth trying out if you’re passing through the Harrisonburg area, or even if you live here and are up for trying something different.

Great food, Great price. My daughter in law and I ate there last May and I have been craving it ever since! Nice selection of food from different regions of India. The Naan is excellent and fresh. The price is also very reasonable. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to visit again!

Never been disappointed with thefood or service the owner recognizes us and remembers our favorites. Spivce level is made to your liking. Loads of vegetarian options. The lunch buffet is worth every penny.

Great lunch buffet. The lunch buffet has a nice selection of main dishes, bread, rice, salads, chutneys, and desserts. The choice of 5 or 6 entrees is different each time and includes meat and vegetarian. The buffet seems to have toned down spicy-heat levels but the food has a great flavor. Good and not expensive (under $10 for all you can eat). Friendly service.

Good place. We arrived with 7 of us, including a 16 month old. The service was friendly and neighborly. Our little time bomb was thoroughly defused by mango chicken. All the dishes we tried were solid (lamb korma, chicken madras, a paneer dish) although we could have asked for more spice (our fault). Recommended as a comfort food restaurant, Indian style. If we lived here, we’d be back regularly.
