The atmosphere was really neat and somewhat unique. The service was pretty good, maybe a little slow to refill the drinks sometimes but other than that not a thing to complain about for this restauraunt. The food was delicious, and was presented very nicely which I didn’t expect as the prices here aren’t high at all. I’ll definitely be coming back to this place.
First visit. In town for meetings and the group went to Union Station for mid week-dinner. The service was poor (lack of communication between the 2 servers) with orders having to be given 3-4 times and still came out wrong. Waiter recommended a red wine (which we accepted) and still they delivered the wrong wine, opened it and then poured both glasses. One order of food came out 30 minutes after the other orders came out (said they gave the dish to some other table). Calamari was just out of the box and tasted like it. Other meals were just as unimpressive.Skip this place if possible. Go to a fast food place and safe money and energy.
Best Reubens. Best Reuben sandwiches in Harrisonburg, bar-none! I like the atomosphere too. The old elevator turned dining booth is pretty cool. I remember when this was the Wetsel Seed Company building…very impressed with how it’s been turned into a restaurant.
Poor service. We came here because we heard the happy hour was the best in town. Good luck getting service! And the bar wasn’t even crowded. I’ll go somewhere else and pay a little more to be treated properly!
Great Variety. The menu offers many different options, the black bean cakes were amazing! everyone at the table enjoyed their food, my husband thought the marinara was too spicy. The service was quick and very informative.
Great Dinner Spot. We made our first visit to Union Station this past Saturday; the hour wait was unexpected when we walked in. The host informed us that we could wait at the bar for our table. About 45minutes later the host came to the bar and directed us to a comfy booth, the restaurant was packed and very loud making it difficult to hear at first. We were greeted promptly by our server who reviewed the specials, our drinks and bread came about 2 minutes later, our server did not rush us through the many questions we asked. The menu is HUGE with alot of variety. Our first course was the prime rib crostini and mulligatawny soup both were full of flavor and served very hot. Next we enjoyed two entrees, the swordfish and the vegetable fettuccine both cooked perfectly. The prices are more than resonable, the service was great and the atmosphere is beautiful
Gordon Ramsay….where art thou?. Best thing that could happen to this beautiful little restaurant/bar is have Gordon Ramsay from Kitchen Nightmares spend some time with the owners.I feel sorry for most of the wait staff that has to put up with inefficient kitchen practices and complaining customers. The food ain’t great. Ain’t terrible either….but coupled with long waits and order miscues….I wished I hadn’t walked into the place. This was my fourth….and last….time dining there. Slow service and mediocre food is going to kill this business.
