  Food, beer, ambiance were fine. Service was slow–we were in an hour and ten minutes for lunch–they were not at all crowded and seemed well staffed. We’ll be back, and hope for a different server! EDIT: Second lunch visit–again remarkably slow service while not crowded and well-staffed. There were groups that came in after us who finished before us! We were not in a hurry, but the slowness of service bordered on indifference– an hour and 37 minutes for lunch! (Google Maps timeline)

  I was there 09/30/2016@2:16pm. I saw on FB that a friend of mine had come here so I thought I would give it a try. This was the second restaurant in the area that I and my date had to wait at the door to be seated! There was a young lady cleaning the glass of the front door and even acknowledged use as we came in and I could see other members of the staff standing at the corner of the bar just talking. And we stood there waiting. It wasn’t busy we were the 4th table in the entire place. But we stood there for a good minute and a half to the point I asked the girl washing the glass: Do we seat ourselves? Than she set us. That is no way to start with a customer who has never been there before and why you get a lowered review rate.Once seated our server, Robert S, came by. He was impressively knowledgeable of the beers and food. They have one if the largest menues I’ve ever seen in any restaurant. I ordered the 4 beer taster set. He took his time explaining each beer asking questions of my likings as we went along. I ordered the, blonde, oasis amber, red and hefeweizen. The beers were well brewed had good clolr and tasty. I ordered the red and ordered a pint after I finished the tasters.I ordered the Seafood taco. There were differt cooking styles to choose from and was able to get one which was blacked shrimp and the other baked Mahi Mai.They both were fresh and favorable. My lady had the Cherry Chipotle Salmon which she enjoyed.The deserts looked mouth watering delicouse but we had to catch a movie and didn’t have time to Indulge.All in all not a bad place. If they improve their creating at the door and time to be seated I can see this place getting a 4 or 5 review easily.

  Well….. ….the beer is definitely good. The food was also extremely tasty. We did, however, order from the lower calorie menu. How does one get so much flavor from so few calories?!…small portion sizes of course!! (I would also agree with the previous reviewer: the service was not great!)

  Typical new restaurant hiccups…I hope. Food was great, beer was awesome, too. Everything is a little pricey, but not overwhelmingly so, and it didn’t bother me because the food and beer selection is so extensive. Service was not good, and that is my only complaint. Only about 10 tables were occupied, and there seemed to be numerous servers, but all of them were zig zagging everywhere as though they had no destination or purpose. Our server had several tables but they were scattered all over, so it was impossible for her to keep up with anyone. Every time food, drinks, or refills were delivered to our table, a different server brought it, so it didn’t feel like we had a dedicated server, which did not make for a comfortable dining experience. Because of the slow and frustrating service, I’m not ready to recommend BJ’s, but the food/beer was good enough that I’m willing to try it again in a month or so to see if they’ve got a better system going.
