Great Sushi! Hidden Gem! Get the calamari app. I love this place!
Delicious and Family Friendly. I am a sushi lover, and one of my favorite spots in Richmond is Umi. I heard that the owners of Umi and Ichiban were sisters and decided to give Ichiban a chance. I’m glad I did because I found a new favorite. The atmosphere of Ichiban is very relaxed and family friendly and I found my rolls to be just as good, if not better than Umi! Not to metion, less expensive. Sometimes when busy, service can be slow because it seems as if there is only one waitress, but the food is worth the wait!
Not fresh sushi
Shoot. I came in on Friday night. Quite empty but LOVED the atmosphere. Sat at the sushi bar. Took almost 10 mins to even get a drink request. I was suggested the Lin-sanity roll. Ok! Then she goes away. Wait! I will probably want more! Well, if it’s fast, I will just keep ordering. Yikes- 20 mins to get my roll. I eat it in 3 mins. Can i get some more? Finally she comes back and i order some sushi. A guy sits next to me to wait on carry out and orders a beer and ONE piece of toro. I notice that they use a TOASTER OVEN to heat my eel! Kinda takes the magic out of it. Then, Holy cow, i get my 5 pieces of sushi 15 mins later, eat it and am still hungry. 5 mins later the guy gets his beer and one piece of sushi. I was going to order more, but just did not want to wait. I really want to enjoy this place, but they really need to speed it up.
Very pleased. Got 3 takeout rolls. Spicy tuna, shrimp tempura and California. All were flavorful and fresh tasting. Nice people at the counter as well. They will see me more often!!
Without any shadow od doubt best sushi in town! We come here several days a week and we are never disappointed. Pricing is very reasonable.
This is the best sushi in town !!! My husband and I like sushi, and after trying some restaurants this became to be our favorite one :)!!! When family or friends come to RIC to visit, sometimes we take them there !!!
