Good Food Poor Service. My husband and I enjoyed the food but unfortuneatly we ate at the bar where our bartenderess served us someone else’s dinner and later tried to serve us their desert. Had to ask for every drink refill and finally our check. I hope the owner reviews her poor service since it is such a bad reflection on a good town restuarant. At the end of dinner it was apparent why she confused the meals since she never spoke to us or looked at us in the face. One last tip – don’t reuse the wine glasses and beer glass – have a little class!

Great food, service and happy hour!. My boyfriend and I live in the area and were thrilled to try Melitos when a friend suggested it. We’ve lived around the corner for over six years and never knew it was there! It’s now our favorite Friday night spot. They have a great happy hour with $1.50 well drinks M-F until 9pm! The food is great and the ice cream from local favorite Gelate Celeste is like killing two birds with one stone! I highly recommend Melitos to anyone who is looking for a good place to try or a west end bar for happy hour on a Friday night. We’ve never left hungry or unhappy. FYI – Sunday has a limited menu and they close early, but is a great place for brunch and mimosas! To sweeten the deal, Melitos is frequently featured on restaurants(dot)com where you can buy a gift certificate at a discount (especially if you work for C1)!

Great service, ambiance, & food. I had huge spinach salad & had chicken breast in top. Delicious dressings! Friend had 2 hot dogs w/chili. Great! Felt right at home. Reasonable prices too. Near U of Richmond but noticed an even age spread of clientele.

My favorite spot in Richmond. While there are a lot of good neighborhood restaurants in the west end, Melito’s is far and away my favorite and the perfect go to spot for lunch or dinner. Order a cold beer, the homemade chips, and a hot dog plate and you will be good to go! For the past year, I have ordered nothing but the chicken salad plate…it is seriously awesome! PS – don’t forget about the pie!

Great Chili, Great Dog. Though we invariably stay downtown near Shockoe Bottom, we frequently trek out here to the West End for the chili dogs. This is a locally owned restaurant/sports bar/diner, that has full bar service – and the bar and booths are nice, dark, woody. The chili dog is among my favorites – the chili is thick and meaty, with excellent flavoe. They use a decent wiener and a nice bun. This is just a great dog. The burgers are nice,as are the fries. Worth the ride out here.Goods folks here too.

Good dog!. Good basic hot dog but get it loaded with chili. Fries are good and make a nice addition. Get a seat near the bar and enjoy watching Natasha bartending!
