Not sure what CJ6767 is talking about. This is far superior pizza than any national delivery chain. Great sandwiches too. My family orders from here for pickup weekly and have never been dissatisfied with the pizza or the subs.
Down Hill. I used to love this restaurant. But lately, seems to be going down hill. Everything I’ve purchased lately is burnt. Pizza bottom is nearly burnt. Last night I ordered takeout Spagetti & Meat Sauce. The Meat Sauce tasted burnt. Going to have to find another Italian Restaurant.
Critic review. This was my third visit in 6 years. The first and second visits 6 years ago were both pleasant experiences and the pizza was great. My recent visit was not a good experience. The pizza was bland, green peppers not cooked or even hot/warm. Tomato sauce was like red water and sparse.Crust was burned black. Actually no flavor whatsoever in the pizza. I don’t know what has happened but I hope Nonna’s Italian Pizzeria makes necessary changes and hires an Italian Chef and kitchen staff to prepare and serve delicious pizza once again!!!
Wont be back. Ordered 2 pizza’s for take-out last night. Spent 27.75 for one cheese and one peperoni and they charged my .25 cents for some crushed red pepper. I told the cashier to tell the owner that they lost future business because of a quarter. What kills me thou, is that I should have looked at the pizza because the pepperoni pizza was burned around the crust and pizza was crunchy. I would have went somewhere else if I checked the pizza.
Pizza Dinner. I have lived in the area for the last nine years and have never been to Nonna’s but have heard great things about them. I ordered a pizza to go. The service was fast and friendly. The pizza on the other hand was a different story. The ingredients were fresh but the pizza was mediocre at best. I got sausage, spinach, meatballs, mushrooms, pineapple and roasted red peppers which would lead one to think they would be in store for a flavorful pie, but it turned out to be just very bland. As much as I hate to say it, Papa John’s would have tasted a lot better and would have satisfied my pizza craving at a much lower price. My large pizza ended up costing me $25.00 and some change. Next time, I am going to call Papa.
Bad Service. The restaurant was ok, but the service was terrible. There was a young looking guy named Matt who treated us like we were getting in his way. He needs to take a class on customoer service; you can’t treat people this way and expect to run a business.
Gone downhill. Nonna’s used to be GREAT, but in the last couple of months, they’ve really gone downhill in food quality and preparation. I live near Nonna’s and went there to pick up takeout all the time, but now, I’ve started to call Extreme Pizza and Papa Johns for delivery….if I’m going to get low quality pizza, no need to pay for low quality that comes with a high price.
