Fast Food BBQ. The staff tries hard and was very friendly. However, the ribs were overly salty and the brisket was dry. The NC pork sandwich was good. Unfortunately, there is too much competition in this category to warrant coming here again. I hate to say it, but this may be the lest impressive fast food BBQ I’ve ever eaten, save the stuff that calls itself bbq, like the ff places that tack BBQ in front of the name menu item.
Wings a nice surprise, uncommon in other regions to find these. They’re barbecued and slightly larger than typical buffalo wings. They were the most tender and flavorful barbecued wings I’ve had. Brisket was moist w great flavor, just right. Pork and spares also well above average. Same w sides. No complaints. They really know what they’re doing. Unusual to find such great barbecue in such a clean joint. Wow!

Clean restaurant with great service and the BBQ is good! Sauces are pretty good, nothing incredible but tasty! Pork was moist and had great flavor by itself and the brisket was the same. I prefer my brisket sliced but this was pulled and I liked it a lot. Mac ‘n cheese was wonderful as we’re the baked beans and hush puppies! Definitely a favorite in Richmond! Restroom were really clean too! Great experience all around!
The bbq is pretty good. But it is kind of expensive and the portions aren’t that big. The pineapple side is so good as well as the corn pudding.
My New Favorite BBQ in RVA!. What else can I say but, WOW! I have eaten here twice and each time I was hard pressed to find any faults. The Chicken, Pulled Pork, Brisket and Ribs were all excellent. Just the right amount of smoke and a ton of flavor. The Ribs were perfect with a crispy outside and they were super tender on the inside. The sides I have tried were all delicious. The collard greens come dressed with vinegar, which I love and in my opinion is the only way to eat greens. The mac and cheese was good but nothing spectacular. The Pineapple Hot Dish is just like something my Mom used to make. You should definitely try that! The pies, oh my god the pies. I rarely grab a dessert but they looked so delicious in the display case that I had to try a slice. The Coconut Cream Pie was heavenly. The custard was not too heavy and perfectly sweet. Also, Q BBQ has Cheerwine on the soda fountain. You best bet is to order a 2 or 3 meat combo plate which comes with 2 sides and a Martin’s Potato Roll. Q offers 3 BBQ sauces which are all tasty. I usually ask for all 3. So, do yourself a favor, drive North on Boulevard, pass right by Buz and Ned’s then hop on 95 to Q BBQ!
Good BBQ and Sides. I ate here for the first time after having Q bbq at a tailgate. The pork BBQ sandwich was good, the bun was warm and soft, and the slaw was well made with just the right amount of mayo. The bbq itself was tender and juicy.For the sides I ordered the Collard Greens and Corn Pudding. The Corn Pudding was VERY good, almost dessert-like. The Collard Greens were good, but a bit sweet- if they lost the sweetness they were be VERY good. Sauces- I went with the spicy sauce, which is basically the regular sauce with a little kick. I tried a taste of the sweet sauce and wasn’t a fan of it. Overall it was a good experience. I didn’t mind the decor as much as other’s have posted.
