Overpriced and lukewarm foods. I fully agree with the comments of the reviewer dated March 9, 2013. My wife and I had dinner there on a Sunday, six days earlier.Dishes are overpriced; particularly those of beef terderloin and other steaks. We wanted some wine. The menu does not show the price of drinks nor for the half dozen wines by the glass and by the bottle. What do you expect? That the diner will order without knowing the price of what he orders. The menu has to show the prices for food and drinks. The waiter had to get the prices from the computer. Our food spent excessive time on the shelf after being prepared and were lukewarm when served to us, probably in a plate that has not been heated. The is no coordination between the kitchen and the server when the food is ready. This is a major deficiency. Waiters should have buzzers to alert them to the fact that orders for their customers are ready. Some diners might like the line dance of the servers which last 4 to 5 minutes. But during that time plated food rest on the counter without heating lights above. We were due to be served during the dance and this explains the lukewarm food that can ruin a dinner. Our meat being undercooked, we sent it bacs and it was still lukewarm when we received it the second time, having been subjected to an excessive waiting period. If the restaurant want to feature dancers: hire professional dancers and let the waiters do what they have been hired for. Or restrict the number of dancers to 3 or 4.Jean-Marie and Denyse MatteauGatineau, Quebec, Canada
Sort of so-so. I have to say, the steaks here are great, and I assume that’s why most people go. But, all the side dishes, etc., taste like they came out of a can. I’ve had the worst of the worst service in the past there, but this last time, the service was great. The one thing that seems to need some work are their kitchen processes. When it’s crowded, which is almost always, the wait for food is really excessive, and it often looks like one person’s food was done and just sitting in the kitchen for a while getting cold but the other person’s food (at the same table) looks like it was just plated.
Best Service!. I was completely blown away with my experience at Texas Roadhouse. The doors were opened for us by two girls, one girl to graciously bring us to our seat, one girl to serve us, one to give us free samples of the side orders (all homemade, all fantastic!) and the staff also line danced every hour. We even had a chat with the manager to make sure everything was to our liking. The food was done to perfection. Hand cut steaks that were grilled like no other at a reasonable price. Everything was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this place!
The food’s fantastic, they have stuff that even my vegetarian friend enjoys despite the meat-heavy menu, the only downside its the long wait for a table on weekends.
In my opinion, by far the best, most consistent chain steakhouse (and maybe best casual dining chain restaurant) there is. Fun, lively atmosphere!
Texas Roadhouse is the RightStop! This is the end of a great getaway weekend with my wife & Valentine for life. Always happy at Texas Roadhouse. Food always cooked right atmosphere lively and electric. Great and attentive staff. I got the 11 oz sirloin she got the 6 oz filet. Great food. Will return time and time again.
Always happy.. Great southern food. Always good. I love the fried catfish and for the price and portions this is a steal. Also, great yeast rolls and cinnamon butter…mmmmm….The wait can be long and it’s pretty busy….be sure to use the call ahead seating..and if a place is busy isn’t that a testament to how good a location it is.
