Consistently great food, and nice atmosphere. The wait staff is pleasant and the prices are very reasonable. I’ve had lunch at the Tavern dozens of times and have never been disappointed.
Party of five turned away. 3/14/15. Tried to have lunch with family at the tavern there were open tables in the back and the hostess was insistent about squeezing my party of five into a 4 person booth or putting a chair at the end of the booth. Those were our only options so we were forced to leave. Never again going to the tavern
My wife and I went and this place was wonderful…the atmosphere is great and we loved the bar…really fresh food, even the Garden Burger had an amazing taste and was extremely flavorful…on top of it all, GREAT draft beer selection… great hometown bar
I looooove this place. Such a great little neighborhood restaurant. The shrimp burger is great, really everything is. Excellent service too. The heated patio is great in the winter. We moved out of state, but make a point to come here every time we visit.
I have always loved this place!. The Tavern will not disappoint. Their menu is original and their atmosphere is cozy. I typically order vegetarian meals, and I have had both the garden burger and the vegetarian sandwich. Both are delicious and come with a side of greens instead of french fries. They offer a wide range of vegetarian options and their prices are very reasonable. This is a Richmond must if you are in town.
Hole in the Wall Perfect place!. We just visited the Tavern for the first time for lunch! We sat outside on the covered deck. It was just perfect. The service was terrific. The food was fantastic! We plan to make this place a regular eatery. I had never had a Shrimpburger. It was phenomenal! The griddle cooked spicy shrimpburger w/ remoulade sauce. $8. A must try. My hubby had the Cheesesteak $9 and loved it. Ribeye grilled cheesesteak. There is nothing like a margarita to wash it all down. Inside is a bar with 2 T.V’s. We may just drop in for happy hour one day.
