Very good place. They were very helpful getting a rather reluctant kid to try sushi.
Loved TJ!! Got a complimentary small sweet potato tempura roll for an appetizer. Great quality food for a reasonable price. Mixed up an order, but even so, pleased with the sushi. (Salmon avocado roll being one of them) TJ uses Sriracha (on the spicy tuna roll) instead of spicy mayo to add spice–never seen that before so I loved the change-up. Will definitely come again and recommend to all
Great little find! The staff was very friendly and quick to respond to any request. One in our party asked questions about the food, because they are interested in Japanese cooking. If the waiter didn’t know the answer, he went and asked someone who did. The food was delicious and we even received a complimentary sushi appetizer! I’ll be back to visit again! 🙂
Loved this place! We were passing through on a road trip and are big sushi fans. Decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly and prompt, and food came out quickly. They even gave us a lobster appetizer on the house! The waitress recommended the Happy Roll we when asked. It wasn’t something we would normally eat, but it was delicious. We eat a lot of sushi and Hiro Sushi is something we would definitely recommend.
Worst Dinning Experience In a Long Time. My wife, children and a friend went here at the end of school to have a nice dinner out. We where seated and the waiter took our drink order….and it was all down hill from there. To make a long story short the food was bad, the food my kids recieved had rotten shrimp, the tails were black and smelled rancid, and we where charged for things we never recieved. On top of this one of the wait staff, who actually was the only one working, dropped a tray full of dishes and glasses and one of the pieces went into the eye of a customer waiting on a take out order. The manager then proceeded to yell across the resturant that she was new and didn’t know what she was doing. Needless to say we didn’t pay for this horrible meal and when I told the owner the shrimp in her freezer were rotten she smirked and rolled her eyes and told me I was wrong. I have worked in seafood resturants before and know rotten shrimp. Either way we left and went three doors down to a better place. Avoid this place the like the plague the staff is incompetent, the food is just plain bad and the prices are unbelievable for what you get. I honestly don’t know how this place has a 90%….it should be much lower.
Wonderful food and even better service. I’ve been 3 times now and each time we’ve received complimentary apps and desserts with our dinners! The food is always delicious and the staff is the most friendly, courteous, and helpful I’ve seen in Richmond. Please give Hiro your business – they deserve to stay open!
