Great place!. Good service, good food, and they are currently on groupon (which will end shortly). They do need to train the 2 young men who work there on the menu, but they were still nice and service was good. The desserts are good including the basboosa (AKA namoura) and pistachio baklava. They have good baba ganouj, felafel and chicken shwarma. My favorite dish I’ve had there so far is the salmon tagine.Jason, dcfud.com22 Sep, 2013Good food. Everything made from scratch, even the dough for spinach pies. dcfud.com

Why so empty?. Grabbed a Granada sandwich for lunch yesterday. It was very tasty, adding the pickled turnip gave it a zing. My companion enjoyed his beef shwarma as well. We couldn’t figure out why the place was so empty?

Best Lebanese Restaurant in DC Metro. This place has a family cooking the food. I am lebense, and I am telling you the ingrediants are just like my home if not better.Try real lebanese Chicken Shawarma (much better than Gyros) this is real meat not ground. You can also try the Beef Shawarma which is still much bettter than Gyros (real meat)Try:TABOULI SALAD – VERY TASTY – JUST THE RIGHT INGREDIANTSHUMUS – Even better order the GRANADA SAMPLER (falafel, kibe, grape leafs, humus, baba ghanoug, lahm bageen (spinish pizza)…try kibbe – highly recommendtry grape leaves – highly recommendtry sambosa – stuffed meat and peastry manakeesh bzaatar (oregano pizza) – vegetarian (hand mix – not from package)try manakeesh bjibne – wonderful just like Lebanontry falafeltry tagine (lamb)try Turkish Pizzaall around great foodsometimes they make special foodI think the Washington Post missed this one.. they should be thereZagaat missed this one – very very clean restaurant – shining bathroom!!! – cleaned after every visit!!

Pay no attention to Silver Spoon’s negative review…. I’ve visited Granada Cafe nearly a dozen times over the last two years and have never gotten bad service nor bad food. This is a family run establishment and the service is on par for a restaurant of this type. No it’s not 5 star wipe your @$$ for you service but the servers and owner are always warm, friendly and very attentive. My favorite dish by far is the grape leaves. I’ve eaten grape leaves all over the world, from Arab friends kitchens as well as restaurants, this place has THE best grape leaves period. The lamb tagine is delicious as well. If you’re in the area definitely stop by and have a meal. You won’t regret it.

Nice little gem in an out of the way strip mall. Very clean and bright. Friendly service. Complimentary pita and spicy yogurt dip. Very reasonably priced apps – hummus only $4 and grape leaves as well. Chicken Kabsah was really good and only $10. Service was friendly but lacking – no one checked on us, refilled our waters, or offered more pita bread. We’ll likely return for the food and good value, but maybe takeout next time.

The people at Granada are very nice and welcoming. You feel like your with family. Everything I have had there was excellent. The quality of the food is high. Good deal for the price. Try this place out. I find myself going back a lot.
