Used to be better. While the queso dip is still tasty, most everything else is just not as good as it used to be. Quality is just not a priority and even their normally legendary white sauce is infuriatingly inconsistent. I give up and won’t be bothering to go back.
Not good. Shame that this Mexican has gone down hill. The owner does not like it when you complain… Even when the order is not correct…. He likes to talk about his customers behind their backs……Plenty of other Mexican places to eat…..
This restaruant is one of the best I have ever been too. The food is always top notch and the staff is very freindly and pleasant. The managers Bruce and Kendall really try to make sure that you are satisfied with your meal. The owner tony even comes around to the tables to do the same when he is in. This is a restaruant that should not disappoint you and the karaoke ain’t bad either.
Ehh. El Burrito has been around for years and definitely has seen better days. The food used to be much better than it is now. It’s still worth eating but isn’t the best around the Hampton Roads area. They’ve always had great salsa and chips and still do. Overall the service is decent except for the last time I went. The waitress seemed very uninterested in doing her job at the time. The Chile Bowla that they serve is amazing. Not the best Mexican restaurant around, but nor is it the worst. The foods decent, but not very consistent.
Will not go here again.. We came hoping to enjoy some Mexican food. We were very disappointed. The salsas were inedible. The chips tasted like they had been fried in old,reused oil. When we realized we couldn’t get passed the salsa & chips, we left,never to return.

If you’re looking for fast, fairy cheap, Mexican food this is for you. The food is slightly better than you average Mexican fare. My service has always been fast and courteous and the restaurant, while looking like any other typical Mexican place, has always been clean. This is the place to go when you need that fast ‘Mexican’ food fix.
Good quality Mexican quisine. Great fresh Salsa. I had the Chimichanga with Beans on the side. It was delicious. Nice touch with a light quest sauce also. They have all the traditional favorites you would expect. I love their Guacamole and they have great service. This is a laid back atmosphere with a good bar selection and good atmosphere. Great lunch spot. Ill be back. Nice Job El Burrito!
