Came in and bought the family lunch. I ordered the shrimp and it was amazing.Place suffered wear and tear but the service and food was AMAZING! So glad I gave this place a try out.
Came on whim. Lunch failed at work, google restaurant and this showed up. The food is fair. I got the beef and onion bowl. Tasted Ok. Plenty of rice, would have liked more onions. Very salty. Decent portions but I felt like mine was a little over priced. Not a great value. Be aware they do accept credit cards but charge 50 cents per swipe. I probably won’t return. If someone asks me whether to go I would likely say yes.
Just dipped my toes into the Tsan waters. I was looking for something new close to work and stumbled upon the 100% positive reviews and said to myself I gotta go. Looking at all the Dynamite chicken recommendations that’s what I went with. For about $6 I got a styrofoam container full of deliciousness. More than I needed for sure. While I would take 1 star away because an easy, good cleaning and some cheap sprucing up would go a long way & likely yield more customers. The place is kinda sketchy but so are most of the places around this area, I did not feel unsafe. I would never take a chick here. I took a pic of the menu on the wall & tried to upload it. I will certainly be back to try other items on the menu.
I’ve passed by this place a million times.. I finally gave it a try. I am so glad I did. It’s outstanding no frills, delicious, Asian takeout. There were three of us, so I got to sample a lot of different dishes. Dynamite chicken, lo mein, and the udon soup were standouts. Get passed the rough around the edges look of the place and you’ll be rewarded with delicious food at decent prices.
Excellent Food and Service. This was our first night in our new house in Norfolk. Tired from moving all day, we just wanted to have something quick, and preferably, delivered. We called multiple Chinese restaurants and could not find any that delivered here, and no one seemed to care that they were not getting our business. When we called Ba at T’San, it was 9:30pm, and he said he was closing at 10. We told him we didn’t want to put him out so late, but he insisted that if we ordered something he would have it ready for us when we got there. Impressed with his customer service, we agreed. And we were NOT disappointed. The Dynamite Chicken was excellent, full of chicken, veggies, and a spicy teriyaki sauce that was flavorful and just spicy enough. We will definitely return, not only for the food, but because Ba was so nice and gracious.
T’San Japanese Restaurant. Some of the best spring rolls you’ll get in all of Norfolk. Light, crispy and actually flavorful inside. Love them.
Diamond in the Rough. A co-worker took me to T’san’s for the first time a few weeks ago. Luckily, I had never seen it before, or I probably would have turned her down. This place is the definition of diamond in the rough. Driving by, it almost looks like a little semi-permanent roadside stand. While the building is nothing to write home about, the food is absolutely spectacular. Don’t let the cover fool you; T’san’s is a masterpiece that deserves reading over and over and over again. Their kobe beef bowl and chicken teriyaki bowls are generously sized and filled with authentic, fresh, made-to-order Japanese fried rice (complete with small pieces of fried egg), and topped with perfectly-seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth pieces of meat that are bathed in a rich, savory sauce. The chicken gyoza are the best gyoza that I have ever had. Although you only get three per order, they are well worth the 1.39. Each piece is perfectly crisp on the outside, and filled with a fluffy chicken filling. All in all, the food at T’san’s is perfection in a bowl, so don’t let the building put you off.
