I used to love this place and rated it a 4.5 but am updating my rating because recently the Hawaiian barbecue beef has a poor appearance and texture. This has been the case with my past couple of orders so I’m skeptical to try again and continue to be disappointed.

Love this place! I’m sad I don’t live as close as I used to stop by at least twice a week for a plate lunch. They also serve the Thai menu from Bangkok Gardens which is also quite good. Another place you can’t go wrong with your choice but the beef and kalbi short ribs are fantastic! The kalua pork is good as well but can be on the salty side from time to time. Aloha!

Taste of home. This is where I go when I’m feeling home sick. Is it L&L or Zippy’s? No. But their katsu is delicious! And their chicken pad thai is the best I’ve ever had. I’ve also tried their spicy shrimp, bbq chicken and beef and they were all awesome! The only gripe with this place is the outrageous price of their spam musubi! Almost $6 for something that cost a buck or two back home. Other than that I love this place and highly recommend it!

Really??. Sorry for the bad review, but guys, this is not local kine Hawaiian food. If you grew up or lived in Hawaii, then you will be very disappointed in their food. We had the Lau Lau and Kailua pig n cabbage. The kalua tasted like kikoman shoyu and Lau Lau… Oh my gosh, I’m sorry to say was the worst I have ever had. I think they used spinach instead of luau leaves , there was salmon in it, the pork was chewy not fall-off-the-bone kine, and the overall taste was very unusual. Had maybe to bites and I couldn’t eat no more. The Mac salad was very sweet, not traditional local mac. If you truly know what Hawaiian grindz are, try not to go here, better off making your own.

Very traditional Hawaiian style food. So delicious! The staff is very friendly too.

Ordinary. Took my wife out to lunch. She ordered the Lau Lau platter and tilapia. The lau lau was tasteless; it tasted as if it was old pork. The tilapia filets were razor thin with little fish and too much breading. My aloha burger looked like it was prepared by a child. The burger was split in half. I was given a mound of onions, lettuce and tomato and piled on as an afterthought. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.
