Delightful. My girlfriend and I went there today for lunch…..we were pleasingly overwhelmed and wonderfully surprised…..we ate outside in their updated patio area…..they must have changed cooks or provided some tips for the previous cook…..our server was named Javier, he is wonderful…..always there when the water or salsa needs to be refilled…..the food was hot and tasted wonderful…..what else can I say…..the facility looks much better than before, the server was wonderful and the food was beyond approach…..we were pleasingly surprised and will be making this a monthly place to visit…..bravo.08 Jul, 2012Don’t miss out on this one!. Best Mexican food in VA. I said it all with that statement. Service, price, food….the best. They treat us like family every time we walk in. Love this place!
Go elsewhere…. Doesn’t hold a candle to the new Three Amigos out on Battlefield Blvd (Chesapeake). I was UN-impressed with the small portions they serve. But what really got my goat was that I asked for a little extra cheese dip sauce on my $12 entree and then they added a $1.50 charge for a couple spoonfuls of extra cheese dip…come on, I was already paying a lot for Mexican food and then you charge me extra for the melted cheese? The place has been renovated, but still reminds me of the old Blue Hawaii. And, you best be ready to swelter in there…the a/c is hardly working. I won’t be going back. Nothing special here.
I love Camino Real! The staff welcomes you in like family! And the food! Do I really need to say anything? It’s better than your mother’s (but don’t tell her I said that)! This is THE best Mexican restaurant in the seven cities!
Awesome!. My husband and I go at least once a week up to Camino for great food and amazing service by Javier!! They all know us by name, greet us when we walk in the door, and take us to our favorite table. This is a place unlike other mexican restaurants, where they really do spend time getting to know their regulars! Herbierto and Diana are the owners, and they are always there making sure that everything is running smoothly. The Nachos Con Chorizo and the Choro Pollo Dinner are two of the best around… it’s a must. They have a great happy hour too! Thank you to everyone there that makes us feel special and keeps us coming back! See you this Wednesday!
