Best Sushi in Town. My boyfriend and I are regulars there. It’s some of the best sushi we’ve had here in VAB. My boyfriend was born and raised in Maui and lived several years in Japan, so I trust his opinion on fresh sushi. The staff is wonderful. It has a very welcoming feel, and even has a traditional tatami room. Highly recommend.
Fun for Special group occasions! I went here with my sisters and we loved it. They have secluded seating areas for parties that my sister saw while walking to the bathroom. We asked if we could sit in one of the booths and they said yes! They had us take our shoes off when we were in the seating area. We felt like we got the real experience of eating sushi! I am expecting so I needed to eat cooked or veggi sushi ad they were great and had many options for me. Would highly recommend Fuji Japan sushi grill.
Best Weekday Lunch Special!. I love going here for lunch on a weekday! You get a little bit of everything with their box: soup, salad, tempura, and choose two items btwn sushi/sashimi, tempura shrimp, teraki dishes or specialty rolls. Very fresh, good portion and great price, the best value I have found for sushi lunch in the area.
This restaurant is the best town!! All their sushi is so fresh!! And the price is reasonable.. My fav roll is the spicy ocean, fire bomb, tiger roll, and the oyster app, Cajun tuna!! I want to eat their everyday!
Couldn’t be beat… I lived less than 5 minutes away from this restaurant for the first nearly five years that Fuji was open. So they answered all my sushi cravings. Used to be owned by a wonderful family.. Ken, Sam, Jessie, etc.. until about two years ago. When they left, my visits seemed to decrease partly due in fact to a slight dip in quality. Also, those owners were incredibly personable and open to customizing orders for no charge. I don’t think the old Fuji had any competition for taste or service in the original days. Now, they are still my go-to spot, but I find myself trying other places more and more as their sushi and service went from unbeatable to just great in comparison. Don’t get me wrong, they are still absolutely fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced.. and you can’t beat their weekday ‘lunch box’ specials but there are still a few things I miss! Arguably still best sushi of the beach.
Fresh. Fuji had the absolute best sushi i had ever eaten. The ingredients were so fresh and crisp and the service was fast and friendly.
