Great food and beer, nice service as well, one meal had onions on it that we asked to be left off but that was not a big deal at all and did not affect our positive praise for this location
Enjoyed our meal. And of course, you have to try the beer brewed on site. This is a chain and I was surprised by the whole set up. Food is standard bar fare but it is done very well and there are some surprises. Burgers impress, as do the wings. Salad selection was large and creative. We will come back. Service was good too.
We used to love Gordon Biersch but our last 3 visits have been horrible. Each time our food was poorly prepared.The cooking staff seems to have no idea how to cook meat to medium it has ranged from rare to well done over our last three visits. On the plus side, the waiters and managers at the restaurant are always friendly and apologetic when the food comes out wrong. In one recent visit I ordered a tuna salad I used to love and found the dish had been completely changed with the last menu revision and it was quite disappointing. Last visit, I ordered the crab and artichoke dip and couldn’t make it past a couple bites. It was the most unappetizing appetizer I have ever had. It tasted like yogurt- no crab or artichoke flavor and it definitely was creamy like it is supposed to be. Bottom line- the menu keeps changing and food quality has suffered over the last 3-4 months. We won’t be going back anytime soon.
Too many menu changes. I’ve been three times now. 1st time got a vegetable pizza that I really loved, went back for it a few months later only to see that it had been taken off of the menu. Not a problem, ordered the fish tacos. LOVED the fish tacos. Went back a few months later for the fish tacos and they had some but not the same ones that I had ordered. Ordered a different pizza and it was just okay. Maybe I’m too much a creature of habit but that’s a lot of menu changes in the span of a year.
Like this restaurant but tonight I brought my 2 1/2 year old daughter and ordered her chicken tenders… Her meal comes with only 2 tenders. Seriously? They need to make it at least 3.
Service?. We came on a Saturday night, about 1145 after my brother’s wedding. All of the beers made our discerning party of 5 pleased. Ordered wings, calamari and flatbread. Good flavor for all dishes, but 7 wings for 10$ seemed steep. Wasabi dipping sauce for calamari was a hit. The problem was the service, which puzzled me. Our main waiter was inattentive which bothers me. We had two other waiters bring our food and beer. They seemed very professional. Our waiter kept passing us and looking at our table and did not remove empty dished after he looked at them. Beer glasses remained empty and had to ask other staff to refill. We all had about 4 beers and at times had to wait for refills. We are knowledgeable about beer and when we asked ??? he did not seem interested.He may have had a bad day, I understand this happens. But in the service industry depends on attentiveness and knowledge and I was upset over the lack of attention. I will go back and try again, however, hope one guy just had a bad night.
Gordon biersch has changed their menu since I last visited. I actually used to love the burgers and garlic fries they served. Today was a disappointment for sure. The hamburger was just OK and the fries were nearly non-existent compared to what they used to serve. My wife had the chicken salad with avacado and chick peas but the chicken was missing. You lost 2 customers Gordon!
