I really tried to like this business as I try to support small independent businesses but after 2 trials of a total of 6 different cupcakes they just are not very good—pretty but not tasty. A friend had several dozens for a party –I tried 4 different ones between my husband —all different flavors (coconut, birthday cake, red velvet and a chocolate peanut butter)–none tasted very fresh–dry and not any more flavorful than a box mix and yes, they were picked up the same day they were served. I thought it was a fluke so I tried them one again when they were at a local festival–same result. They are also quite small in comparison to most comparable businesses which would not be a problem to me because I usually feel too stuffed after larger ones but I would atleast like to feel like the 3-4 bites are yummy–not here.
I used to really like this place when they first opened. Now the cupcakes are not very good, they are very dry. The customer service is horrible. My hubby went in and ordered some cupcakes for our anniversary, the owner is the one who took his order. Well when he called to make sure they were ready the order had never been put in. My husband was very upset, which I think he had every right to be and the owner never even called my husband back. He wrote on their Facebook page at how upset he was, she deleted it and sent him a nasty Facebook message. Never apologized, just said she forgot because she has been very busy because they were in the process of renovating and said there are plenty of cupcake places out there!! We will NEVER be using them again. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!
A Winner. Always an outstanding experience. I’ve used Just Cupcakes for a number of business events and they always exceed my expectations. The cupcakes are delicious, with an interesting variety of flavors to choose from. For one of our events, the owner created a unique cupcake to compliment the rest of the catered meal. Always delivers on time, never a worry about lack of followup or product not measuring up to expectations. Highly recommend.
The perfect cupcakes.. I ordered these cupcakes a couple weeks ago for our doctor’s birthday. I ordered because of your gluten-free selection but then added 6 more regular cupcakes to total 12 cupcakes. The price was fair for a cupcakery…and once tasted I felt like they were worth every penny. I ordered at the Hilltop store and picked up at Town Center. They transferred the order efficiently without me having to contact Point B. Our first note was the gluten-free cupcakes were moist, something not often found with gluten-free sweets. The icing was delicious, I’m not a fan of icing ever….but I’m a fan of your icing! Lastly, we loved that we didn’t get that ‘heavy’ feeling in our stomach after enjoying them. I noticed some of the reviews weren’t so high and I thought I’d share our completely fantastic experience. I did order almost 48 hours in advance…extra time can mean extra care 😉 I, along with others from the office, will definitely be ordering again in the future.
Best cupcakes on the east coast!. Wow! I cant believe there are not more positive reviews on Just Cupcakes. Their vanilla on vanilla is like heaven on earth! Moist cake, perfect cake to frosting ratio, frosting is light and fluffy. Every bite leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend Just Cupcakes! Make sure you go early in their day as you will have better flavor selection.
Though there was not a lot to chose from and the store just opened an hour before I got there, the cupcakes were moist and the icing melted in your mouth. They even had samples that I could try. They show up as being cheap but they are over $3 a cupcake
Nothing special. The cupcakes are just ok. Not much to choose from, usually one person working that knows little about the product they are selling. The cake is dry, something you could easily get from a box at the super market. Especially if you don’t follow the directions properly and the icing seems very loose and oily. Not on the top of my list. If you can’t get to a sprinkles cupcakes in your travels then at least hold out for twisted sisters cupcakes around Hampton Roads. Usually found in a van and 10 times better than these.
