Not Impressed. The Landing Zone is near our house so we decided to give it a try. We walked in and were quickly greeted and seated. There was one other group in the dining area (which after watching a young boy running back and forth to the bar area and Jeff carrying him back I would assume they are family), everyone else was at the bar. The noise from the bar was so overwhelming we could not hear one another talking and really had to speak up to place our food order. I do not find loud restaurants appealing, especially since the noise level was that of drunk men trying to talk over one another. The waitress took our food and drink orders and came back with drinks quickly. The tea tasted old and my husband wanted to swap it out for something else but the waitress did not come back. After ten minutes he had to flag her down even though she had visited the other table to refill their drinks several times. It took a good 30 minutes to get our food. When our food arrived my chicken enchiladas had congealed cheese on top, hidden under a pile of fried tortilla strips. The enchiladas were cold inside also. We had to once again flag the server down because she never came back. They did remake my meal but I still wasn’t impressed with the flavors, it seemed like it was canned chicken, and a little bit of avocado rolled up in a tortilla shell (times 3) the salsa on top was good but that was about it.My husband ordered the Jalea Peruana which was pretty much a pile of fried and more fried seafood, with onions on top and marinara sauce on the side. Also not impressive. To their credit, Angelina was very apologetic about the cold meal and did comp half of it and give us a desert for free which was very nice. Her kindness is not enough to get us back in the door though no matter how close it is.

Gracious hosts, very good food for a restaurant of this level. The service is a bit unrefined but it’s essentially a bistro level restaurant. All in all very good worth a stop.

Limited menu but very good food. Service was good until we had to ask for our check. A pretty interesting decor that appeals to local aviators

Great food. Great service. I live nearby and love going to the LZ for dinner. Everrything taste fresh and delicious! I’d recommend the cuban sandwich and the nachos. Jeff, the owner, is retired military and is an all around good guy. You’ll see him at the restaurant almost all the time.

We got the steak nachos as takeout last night and they were highly disappointing!! The steak didn’t have any seasoning or flavor, there was hardly any cheese to speak of. And no salsa. Very bland and boring!!
