Don’t forget the Restaurant Specials when you are picking your dinner or lunch. Great specials at reasonable prices. Do try Las Palms dip appetizer…awesome.27 Jul, 2014Under new management (#3) and new inside decorations and decor. Much upgraded menu. Service (Javier) was excellent. Very happy to see the changes in place. We are back to this great Kempsville location08 Dec, 2012New owners same menu. We miss the family atmosphere.16 Mar, 2012We feel like part of the family. Family owned and operated and the menu and service are from the heart good. We were delighted to see the addition to the Harris Teeter Center on Princess Anne and have been routine customers since the resturant opened. They are close to their one year anniversary – if you have not found this gem yet….please take the time…it will be well worth however long your trip is.
Excellent!. This is been our favorite neighborhood family restaurant over the years, and with the new management, this place is even better! The staff are always happy and engaging. They work as a team when taking care of customers; everyone working will ask if you need anything and/or tend to your table’s needs. I like their redesign with the bright new colors also. I am impressed with the excellent customer service, food and drink quality and quickness, and overall atmosphere. If you’ve been to Las Palmas in the past and didn’t have a positive experience, give them another try! It’s a different place now!
Good. Very good, nice staff, decently priced!
Definitely not the best Mexican in town. The food was definitely above average, but not earth-shattering. The food was prepared and delivered very quickly, but otherwise the service was average. The frozen drinks are awful. They’re poorly blended to the point of not being able to use a straw because the ice chunks were too big. If your quest is for a great margarita, go elsewhere.
I LOVE IT!!! I am a California native and everything is just like home. The food is delicious! (Especially anything chicken). The atmosphere is in progress to be a great family spot. The staff are quick an very accommodating. Facilities are very clean. The bar creativity is endless, and the new owner is making very appealing changes. Las Palmas is already my favorite spot as soon to be many others’ also. I am making it my mission to try everything on this menu (soon to be new menu), so far, I’ve been here twice this week.
Fresh & good value!. Huge portions, great frozen margaritas and fresh ingredients. Great service!
Mediocre. Nothing spectacular. Being nice & roomy on the inside was a plus as was the lighting. The restaurant isn’t dark or dreary like you’ll find with so many other Mexican restaurants in the area. I went with their version of the California Burrito; it was a nice size, but lacked iirn flavor compared to the competition’s versions [rice overpowered the filling]. Service was ok & the complimentary chips, salsa & white sauce did the job. There are better options & there are worse options.
