I have been eating here for about 5-6 years..When I first started my initial thought was PHO is amazing but man is the guy who owns the place mean (Lauren’s review)..Personally food is always going to win over service with me..All that being said, Tree (owner) has really grown into his role as host..He is VERY nice to me, but he is also direct kind of like the Seinfeld guy..He has a menu and he serves the menu, nobody is putting ketchup in their soup..I love the guy and I have eaten pho all over the world and this is the best broth..Only thing close is a place in Richmond just behind Mexico restaurant..
Go here!!. Best broth in VA Beach. Ive tried everything on their menu and theyre all amazing. Favorites are their seafood pho, grilled pork with rice and egg, and their bahn mi(not on the menu). Dont forget to order their Thai tea with pearl; ridiculous. Service is fast and you get stuffed for less than $10. We go every week.
Favorite viet restaurant in VB. I’ve eaten at about every Vietnamese restaurant in the immediate area. Pho 78 has, by far, the best Pho and a very extensive selection. If you go, be sure to try one of their boba teas, which are also quite delicious 🙂 I don’t know what the person who wrote the first review is speaking about when they say they had bad service. I’ve been going to Pho 78 for years and as a waitress myself, the reason I returned was because they had notably good service. They are very quick and never let my cup go empty. I will agree that they often don’t say much, but no one there has every been unfriendly and they always come to the table with a smile. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I often do.
Un-Pho-gettable. Good food with a nice atmosphere.Definitely worth trying some of their ‘back page’ menu drinks like ‘mocha pearls’ or ‘halo halo’.Courteous friendly staff and quick service.
This place is great! The food is the best in town and I don’t just say that! I have tried all of the pho places in the Hampton roads area. I will say that the comment on the staff is not the norm, my wife eat here all the time and the staff is always wonderful!
The food us decent and the eggrolls are very good… Too bad I will never eat here again. The staff is absolutely horrible and rude. Don’t expect them to stop by your table for refills on drinks and when they take down your order don’t expect them to say one word to you. Once you get your food they will not come back to your table at all and that is absolutely ridiculous considering the restaurant was not busy at the time and it was like that for the 3 times I ate there. The food is not worth it. I would recommend drivig to Virginia beach blvd and eating at pho 79 where the food is just as good and cheap and it had more of a familiy atmosphere… They are always watching the football gAmes on their big screen too!
Really good!. Excellent pho — plentiful amounts of basil, hot peppers, sprouts. Sometimes have good variety of tapioca desserts.
