Pretty nice place with lots of beers on tap and a wide range of menu items. The dining area is open and very spacious and the bar occupies almost the entire right wall when you walk in. I ordered the bacon-guacamole deluxe burger and it came with no shortage of guac. It came oozing out the sides of the burger with every bite and the patty appeared to be made in-house. However, even with all that guac the burger overall was pretty average and the oasis amber beer I ordered wasn’t anything special either. The accompanying crispy thin fries were pretty good. In the mood for dessert, my table ordered the Peanut Butter Smores Pizookie. Wow, it was delicious! How could it not be with peanut better, chocolate, ice cream, and toasted marshmallows all bombarding your taste buds at once!? Those toasted marshmallows really added a whole other level! Dessert was easily the best part of the meal, but I wouldn’t mind going back to BJ’s to try other beers and menu items since they have a lot to choose from.
I went to the restaurant understanding it’s new. Many times it takes awhile for the restaurant to come up to full speed. We were greeted as soon we walked in. We were seated shortly after there. The waitress was friendly and provided fair service. The kids got the deep dish pizza meals. Kids enjoyed their meal. I had a bite and the pizza was pretty good. I asked the hostess her favorite food when we arrived and she said the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, after I ate my meal and tried the kids pizza I wished I would have ordered that. I got the sirloin, asparagus and mashed potatoes. The potatoes are amazing. The steak was a little burnt on the outside and still too red inside. I should have returned it, but just plowed through. My wife got the fish tacos. She said overall it was good but said the cabbage was a little to thick for her liking. I didn’t try them, but the thickness didn’t look to be an issue for me. The overall experience was good. Comfortable place to eat, lots of big TVs (all muted), background music was standard. Bathrooms seemed well kept. I live in Hampton and probably won’t go out of my way to return. But we do quite a bit of shopping in that area and will likely return in about 6-8 months once they’ve been open longer.
