This was one of the worst Indian restaurants I’ve been to. There were flies everywhere, including dead ones floating in bowls of oil on the tables. When we walked in, we were directed to a table that had not been cleaned. There were still old glasses and bowls on the table, and when we said something, we were moved to another table, where there was water leaking from the ceiling onto the chair where we were siting. When we complained, we were moved to yet another table, which was crammed next to other ones so that it was hard to get into the seats. When we went up to the buffet (which they advertise as $12 but is in reality $14.20 once you include tax), the plates were dirty with splattered food or wet like they just rinsed them off in water and didn’t bother to dry them. The only redeemable quality of this place is that the food wasn’t terrible, and there was a large selection, but after seeing the cleanliness of the rest of the restaurant, we’d all lost our appetites. No one came to refill our water jugs or take away old plates, and when we went up to ask someone for water, no one was there. When we were done eating and went to pay (expecting the bill to come out to around 50 dollars for the four of us), the total price was close to $70. They said that they included automatic gratuity for parties of 4 or more, which is ridiculous for a buffet where they don’t have to do anything extra to serve you.Awful place, never returning.
A must visit for indians..I had visited this place for memorial day lunch..the buffet was good..very good..they had mutton, chicken as well as veg biriyani along with many chicken and veg dishes..appetizer had veg pakora and then chicken tandoori.for dessert they had gulab jamun only..fresh naan were being served at the table..tasty food..If anyone comes from kolkata India..you will b in love with their biriyani ..it just d way it is made in kolkata..
One of the best indian restaurant in Richmond. Every thing that I had was awesome. I think they have the best Chicken tika masala in town. The fresh naan comes with the buffet, and is very good, as is the service. we will come back soon.
excellent …very delicious food, soothing ambience…great biryanis and should mention their special aloo paratha titled as BOLANI and all above goat biryani and haleem.definately should give a try.
Tarad. My father & I had buffet lunch at Bawarchi few weeks ago.We enjoyed the lunch, which is really a value for money. We chicken cooked in cream sauce which was the one of the best we had. Biryani , vegis are way better than most Indian eateries in Richmond area. I highly praise this restaurant as family place.to eat and enjoythe food and the service.
