One of the best places to eat in Richmond! Anytime we have out of town guest we take them to experience this place! Food is expensive but worth every penny! If you want to save money go get a McRib, this is real BBQ!
My Experience Was Awful. Placed a to-go order and departed without checking it. When I got home and opened the bag to eat, I got a disappointing surprise. The babybacks and garlic bread were totally burnt!!! And, this cost me $23.35 plus a $2 tip that I felt some obligation to give when I ordered this mess. I am pissed to say the least. I will NOT be going back…a horrible, rip off experience.
Really???. Went to celebrate an event with two other people, all of us ordered the beef ribs with two of us ordering the large which is $36 and includes two sides and one of us ordering the small for $22 which included two sides. The large had eight ribs and the small had three. We ordered one soda and two waters and were charged 50 cents for a cup to get some tap water after spending close to $100 for sub-par food. The ribs were so tough that I hurt myself eating!!!! No joke! You would think that if you are going to spend $22 you would at least be stiated when you finished. Please,,,, save your money and don’t buy the beef ribs! I am not sure about evrything else but seems way overpriced to me. On the positive side,,, my dog enjoyed the ribs we brought home because they were to tough to eat.

Ridiculous! That’s the best word to use. Have no idea what the hype is all about. I do not like this place one bit.
Expensive and lame pseudo-wait staff. As far as the food goes, everything is solid (pulled pork, ribs, sides) and the brisket is exceptional. However, I’ve had the same or better quality barbeque in Richmond for half the price (Q Barbeque or Deep Run Roadhouse). The pseudo-waiter atmosphere of the West End location is rather annoying as (after 4 pm) a waiter/waitress will simply pick up your food from a counter and bring it to you, after you’ve ordered it at a register. They may offer to get you a refill from a publicly accessible soda fountain, leaving some feeling obligated to tip. It seems a rather uninspired attempt to copy the local Arby’s or Chick-fil-A’s that bring your food to you. I am willing to pick up my tray and fill up my own drink, especially if it keeps the price down.
Horrible Experience. So disappointed in Buzz and Neds. HORRIBLE service, over an hour wait for food, food was cold when it reached the table and when I told the manager that our food must have waited up there too long he made the excuse that food never waits on the counter there. My daugher ordered a brisket sandwich and they came to the table when we complained about how long the food was taking and said they ran out of brisket and if she could choose something else. They would not have run out of brisket for her order if they didn’t let our food sit on the counter for an hour and then forget to fill her order.The manager comped half the meal but still the poor service and the cold food makes me not want to eat there again. They may have beaten Bobby Flay in a Throw Down but living off that reputation will only go so far if they don’t fix their kitchen and food delivery.
