I went to one of these places out in California and I was excited to see this opening up in Richmond. It’s located in a strip mall, and the atmosphere is plain and a little weird. You go for the seafood, and that delivers. The quality seems good, and the taste is good. I love spicy, and the second level was definitely spicy enough. My one complaint is that you get a TINY portion of sausage, potatoes and corn. In a 2lb bag we come a 1/4 piece of corn, two bite sized pieces of sausage, and two small potatoes. It’s was pathetic. Usually these types of places load up on that. Prices are very reasonable.
WOW!! So that is what seafood is supposed to taste like.. Were not a seafood eating family, so there was a lot of apprehension about going to Crustacean Boil n Grill. When they brought out our meals cooked in a bag in a bucket, the kids were ready to run out the door to McDs for a filet-o-fish. Fortunately, it only took one taste of delicious crab to convince us that eating seafood out of a bag is the best way to eat seafood. My youngest son & I enjoyed the seafood soooooooooooo much that we ordered a second meal each, which the rest of the family was willing to help devour. The menu is designed for the consumer to choose seafood (crab, lobster tail, shrimp, etc.), seafood seasoning and strength of seasoning. Each meal is cooked & served in its own bag along with potatoes, sausage & corn. Our family highly recommends trying Crustacean Boil n Grill. Hint: Crustacean Boil n Grill is a little difficult to find, because it does not face W. Broad St. It is hidden in the mini-mall (across from Golds gym), but the discovery is well worth the search. Enjoy!

Bad service. Bad experience. My husband had to pay for a meal that I didn’t eat or order. They pretty much say it’s bought to your table the will wash the season off to get it right but not prepare you a new order. You can not make a person pay for something not ordered. We just didn’t want to cause a scene. Our reputations are too important. They have the money but lost a customer. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Food’s good but if they had more corn and potatoes in the bags, it would seem like you’re getting a good deal. By the time the food comes you’re really hungry; would be nice if they offered a selection of breads and cornbreads while you’re waiting.
Succulent Seafood!. OMG! I was not remotely prepared for such a awesome dining experience! The quality of seafood at such a phenomenal price! If you don’t mind getting your hands dirty and stomach full this is the place for you.
A hidden gem! If you love Lousiana style low country boil this is the place for you! Great service!
