Extensive menu, average food. Tay Ho is ok, but in a town where there are so many outstanding Vietnamese restaurants, ok isnt good enough. The food is very Americanized and lacks the subtlty of the flavors of their competitors. The prices are fair, and the dining area is very spacious and clean. There is nothing overtly wrong with Tay ho, it is just ordinary.

Just not it.. First off the restaurant is nice and clean and new. Now here goes the other, when you have help that are young and fresh and pretty that can not remember a order as mine and my friend at lunch by number like our order which was A1, A2, P2, and a P3, something needs to change. They were not busy at lunch at all this day so that is not a good reason. About the Pho, it is to sweet not enough of the right spices were used and it is more for the person who does not know what good Pho is all about. Pho so1 is the best in town this place Tay-Ho is for the American taste that has not had good Vietnamese food. This is my second time here and I swore not to go again after the first. Trust me the place is nice and clean but that is it. I had high hopes for the place but this confirms it for me. They need to buy a new recipe.

After one visit, I would say that this place is just as good as many other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The dining room surpasses that of many of it’s competitors. While the menu is relatively small, the food was fresh and flavorful.

I’m very well versed in Vietnamese cuisine. New place -> I had to try! The place looks very nice and has great decor. Food, not so much. Orders crispy rolls, cha gio were very very greasy. Ordered the Pho tai and it was horrible. Temperature was not hot, flavor had no depth and noodles were barely cooked. Ordered fried rice to go for the wife. Again, very greasy with no flavor at all. We had to throw it away. Do yourself a favor, stick to Mekong, Pho so 1, Vietnam 1, Vietnam Garden and Pho Saigon.

Nice place average food. New clean and bright space, food nothing special, not anything you can’t get many other paces.worth a look if you are in the area, but not worth a trip.

Went from like to dislike…. I went here for lunch today (01/09/2013) with two friends. All three of us thought the space was nice (super clean and new) and our food was really good. My least favorite, which we all still liked, were the fried wontons. They reminded me of the shrimp purses that Kroger sells. I got a lunch special, which came with wonton soup (good), a crispy roll (really good), and a spicy dish with lemon grass that I had them make with pork. It was really good. I have no idea what my friends ordered, but I did try my friend’s pork dish that had a nice, smokey flavor. I am looking forward to going back. If it’s as good next time as it was this time, I will make this a regular stop. **UPDATE** I’ve been back twice since my initial visit on 01/09… I ordered the same dish (spicy lemon grass something or the other) and both times this dish had zero, and I mean zero flavor/spice to it. The first time it happened the waitress told me the reason for the error was a new chef that had just started that day. The second time, when I asked to get it EXTRA spicy (just to make sure I would get some spice), via the waitress I was told the chef apologized and said it wouldn’t happen again. Well, it won’t happen again because I’m not going back here. Plus, I didn’t like that there is no lunch menu of any kind offered on the weekend. You have to order from the dinner menu which seems crazy to me. Lunch is lunch, whether it’s on a weekend or on a weekday. I don’t want a dinner portion at noon. They need some type of lunch menu on the weekend.

This a great new place! The food is fresh and tasty. The owner and staff are friendly and knowledgeable of the menu! I would definitely recommend this place and tell your friends! Kudos Tay-Ho!
