Chinese restaurants can be very hit or miss, but it’s always a treat for me to visit my aunt and uncle and go out to Yen Ching! My entire family has enjoyed many things on the menu, though the Double Fried Hot Pork is a go-to favorite. The Beef and Scallops, Happy Family, Kung Pao Chicken, and Barbeque Duck are also tasty. Our favorite part, however, is probably the beverage we always get – the insanely delicious Coco Loco! The atmosphere is nice, with statuary and a giant fountain in the center of the main dining room. There are usually flowers on the tables and decorations during the holidays. The owners are so nice. They always welcome my aunt and uncle (who live in the area and visit more than I do) by name, and they couldn’t be more friendly. It’s a great place!
Yen Ching-broad st. Our food arrived to the table cold, which made us very nervous. The waitress wasn’t very apologetic at all. Service was also very slow-especially when we told her the meat was cold. We will not visit this location again.
Poor customer service. We ordered shrimp egg foo young at the restaurant to take out. After waiting 30 minutes we got home only to find there was no gravy. Everyone knows the gravy makes the meal. So we call to report. We are outside the delivery area but can get a replacement. I called to order shrimp & broccoli. Ben told me I’d have to pay a difference of $2… when I explained he should accommodate me bc of inconvenience, an incomplete meal and driving to his location he told me I was already getting a free meal and still have to pay the difference. I thanked him and hung up. I’m guessing $2 was not worth keeping a customer. I’ll never spend another dime there. And 2 I’ll be happy to spread the news of his poor customer service.
We placed an online order tonight around 7:15 and received an email confirmation shortly after. We still have not received our order! We called around 8:15 to see what the estimated delivery time was and without taking any of our information, we were told the delivery was on its way. We called back around 8:30 and gave our information. This time we were told they can’t delivery to our address (about 4 miles away from their restaurant). Terrible customer service! The employee was very rude and not apologetic at all. We cancelled our order and will not be ordering in the future.
Excellent!. One of the best Chinese restaurants in the area. The food and service is always great and consistent, and you feel that they are genuinely happy to have you there.
Great sesame chicken and double cooked pork
I have eaten here for over ten years, and the food here has always been tasty. Yen Ching has great decor and atmosphere. I ordered wonton soup and mu shu chicken, both great. My boyfriend ordered egg drop and sesame chicken, I tasted his and both were very well done, he ate the whole plate! They also go the extra mile with displaying your entree, we had radishes cut in flower shaped as a garnish. Great, affordable place to eat for both lunch and dinner.
