What a find!. Huge Greek salads, gyro platter, veggie pita with feta, creative appetizers and large portions. We ate outside and everything was perfect. Great server, really knowledgeable about all the dishes. Price is very fair for portion size, we left full. I highly recommend.
Mixed review. Service was very good and the food for the most part was very good as well with the exception of the gyro. The meat looked like it was steak-um or some other kind of pre-packaged gyro like meat instead of cut fresh from a rotating spit and finished on the grill. For a Greek restaurant of this quality, I thought they would have a decent gyro. The saganaki and fish was very good.
My husband and I went for dinner on Valentine’s day and we were very impressed with the food and the service. Our waiter that night was Great and very knowledgeable about the menue.Thanks Kyle(waiter) and Ammos for a wonderful evening.
Hopeful that the Restaurant is better…. After a trip to Greece, we attended the Greek Festival in Virginia Beach last weekend. We can only hope that Ammos Resturant food is much much much better than the dried out, flavorless, chicken that they tried to pass as chicken souvlaki in a pita. I was disheartened and I hope that people don’t accept this type of food as a standard for Grecian delights. In their defense, it was a tent set-up, but this type of food was easily prepared roadside in Greece on a similar scale. We hope that in the restaurant they do it right. After we visit, we will give them a second chance and revise as appropriate.
Awesome service! We went all out and started with some platter appetizer that’s was amazing(had like 4 things on it and lamb meatballs). We got gyros, platter and sandwich, they were good too. Nice views of oceanfront, they weren’t busy and let my son run around on the outdoor deck, always awesome.
Bad service. Waited 20 mins. Nobody came to assist us.. Ssoooooo bad!!
