Go to Azar’s. Firstly, the $$ rating is misleading. Their prices are $$$. The food was good, but over priced. The food and service is much better at Azar’s.
This middle eastern style cafe is truly a find. The combination of vegetarian and meat dishes means there is something for everyone. Food is beautifully cooked and the combination of flavors makes for a unique delicious experience. Enjoy
GREAT food, staff and service!. I was introduced to this restaurant a week ago and enjoyed it so much that I’ve been back 3 times in less than 9 days. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were all excellent. I can speak for all 3 of us who have returned, and none of us have had a bad dish. Food was fresh, very tasty and appetizing in its representation. The waitresses were very knowledgeable and explained each of the dishes – how they were prepared & the ingredients that we could expect in each. We had dishes we couldn’t pronounce – each one was incredible. Go with an appetite! A gem of a restaurant that’s worth the drive, worth the price and worth the wait.
Always A Treat!. I love coming here!! The food is always fresh and amazing! I am so excited they expanded. All the flavors are exotic and blended together beautifully. No spices over powers another, everything is balanced perfectly. The servers are always very attentive, nice, but never pushy. They have the best Mediterranean food in Hampton Roads!
Yummy!. Quaint little place with great service and even better food. The tzatziki is amazing and I’d go for that alone. All the food that we ordered was fresh. I had the mediterrean wrap and it was very flavorful. I especially liked the rice that came with it.

What happened? This experience was not up to the standards they have already established for me for their restaurant. How does a Mediterranean restaurant run out of rice? Portion size reduced and the quality was just not the same. 🙁
