KAPAMILYA YOURE AWESOME. I was there yesterday Saturday during my visit to Virginia Beach from Fredericksburg, VA, yes it was a long way from home to have the best filipino food and to top it off the best customer service I have ever experienced.The place was extremely packed when I stopped by, from what I heard there were people from the Phil., asides the full house being packed, the staff remained extremely accomodating to all of their customers including me and my family. Rose, thank you you are the kindest waitress,and of course to the rest of the Kapamilya staff. We were made to feel so welcome by the time we left, the owners Ron and Belen made us feel like one of the family. The lumpia was fresh and delicious. I can tell that there is a love of labor for every lumpia wrapped. The place is festive, and lively. God Bless you my NEW KAPAMILYA FAMILY! My family and I will be back.. and to the one who wrote the review suckered, well, I’m glad I didnt follow your review and still went to this place, SUCKERED NOT US!!! There is a difference with the way they prepare their food. The price is reasonable, considering the economy these days, Quality and Customer Service is the key! WE WILL BE BACK!
Great Place!. My family and I recently spent the day in Va Beach some friends told us about Kapamilya so we went to check it out.This is by far the best Filipino restaurant that we have been to. The owners and staff were extremely gracious and went beyond normal to accommodate our family, The food was very good everything was freshly cooked and served by a very customer friendly staff. The pricing was very fare for the quantity and the facility was very clean. We highly recommend this establishment to Filipinos and Americans alike. If you enjoy Filipino food and want a break from cooking or you are in town for a visit, try Kapamilya, I don’t think you will be disappointed!!! Thank you to Ron and Belen the owners and to all the staff there who really displayed why Filipinos are the friendliest people I have ever met!!!
Suckered. We have been here a couple of times before and we have had good experiences. Mainly went for the UFC fights when they used to show them there. The last time however was a different story. We ended up here because some of our friends wanted to eat some Filipino food and Marys aka Felito’s food looked like it was sitting out awhile. So it was strange that there were no menus with prices to order from for dinner. Stranger still when they said they didn’t have any when we asked if they did. So we just ordered 4 non combo dishes with a plate of rice family style verbally at the register. Portion sizes were not huge but a decent size, enough to share between all of us so that wasn’t the problem. The food tasted fine. The problem was the size of the bill. Filipino food is working class food and really isn’t that expensive. But a $60 bill for 4 Filipino dishes seemed excessively high. Anyways, we paid it but probably not coming back.
FILIPINO FOODS. This is the place to have a nice decent lunch or dinner, have parties, karaoke, ……i love it ….check out those big plasma T.V
Great place, great staff, great food. Had the BEST HALO HALO, large portion for the price of $ 3.99 and you cant deny yourself of the ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET on Sunday – $ 7.99, with the recession and all you truly get your $$$$ at this place. the owners – Ron and Belen are genuinely great big hearted people whether youre a regular or new to the area or just there for a visit, it has truly been a pleasure. I agree with the previous comment you are never rushed wether you have one serving of the buffet or keep coming back for more, they welcomed you and those who walked in that place with such warmth… why go anywhere else this is home away from home… so all you military men/women who misses that homecooked meal or just that home away from home feeling well all I can say is try this place you will not be disappointed!
Great Place!! 5 stars. I was visiting a friend in Virginia Beach and she took me here – what a great resturant! Friendly service! I loved the Saturday night party atmosphere and we went again on Sunday for the all you can eat buffet!! The food was delicious – fresh and hot – neverending!! I loved the chicken wings and deserts. It is a great place to sit and relax and enjoy your meal. I didn’t feel like we were overstaying our welcome. We were not rushed out. The owners made you feel like family- they came around and spoke with everyone. I would highly recommend this resturant – great home cooked food!!!
Sarap!!!delicious!!!. We were in virginia for 8 days in august and we ate at kapamilya, the beefsteak and kaldereta and halo halo were the best i have ever tasted!!! but not the sago gulaman, it was too sweet! We also went there on sunday as they have the eat all you can buffet!
