Great family owned restaurant. My family and I are regulars and have been dining here for years. I never thought to write a review but after the meal we had tonight I felt I had to. I ordered the baked ziti, my husband had the bada bing cheesesteak and the kids had pizza. Everything was perfect. The staff was friendly and on the ball. We also love the new uniforms and tables! You can tell that the owner puts his heart into his restaurant.
Reginella’s has great service, warm environment, and great food.. The eggplant parmesan is the best in the Tidewater area.The service is fantastic. Also the environment is filled with warmthThe food is made by loving people.

Rude manager/great server. A last get together for our friends consisted of 9 people including 4 children. Male server was great.semi fast but that was due to him standing at the bar waiting over and over again for many peoples drink orders like our own.upon leaving I realized I left my sons jacket in the high chair.went back in and the server gladly went with me to check the table.the manager came over,placed his hand on my forearm and stated the table has been cleaned,we dont have your jacket.i asked if i could look anyway (we were in a corner,thought maybe i dropped it) manager asked me to move cause the table was being sat and again said ‘we dont have your jacket’you would think being a packed house he would let someone check especially after a $200 bill. Shame on him,his employee was helping out and doing the right thing.all the manager wanted was for me to leave.
I can only give a review for the Pizza, i must say i was very disappointed. I was really looking forward to having an authentic wood fired oven pizza napoletana, Ive lived in Italy most of my life, i don’t expect to have the same here but to call this pizza napoletana is a shameful. To all looking for wood fired oven pizza, this is not the place for you. Pizza sauce tasted like it was out of the can, they advertise prosciutto but you are really getting chopped ham 🙁 and the mushrooms also tasted out of a can. No fresh ingredients.
AVOID. I had the most horrible experience at Reginellas and will never go back there again. It’s a shame because years ago they were really quite good. I ordered a $50 meal for my wife and I. The pasta was grossly overcooked and each of our orders were missing items. I was even charged for an item I did not receive and they refused to remove the charge from our bill. Then to top it all off the manager or owner, an older foreign man, was extremely rude and beligerent when we told him about our experience. He even yelled at us and embarassed himself in front of a full restaurant. Talk about an Angry Chef.
Always enjoy food and service at Reginella’s. We visited again last night and ordered and split one of the specials along with the greek salad. Love the fresh salad and like that the dressing is served on the side. Loved the entree -don’t remember the name – pasta with ham and mushrooms in garlic. It was full of flavor and juicy enough to dredge the fresh hot bread. It was nice they served it in two bowls for us.We have been here at least 15 times and always feel welcomed and enjoy the service and food.
