Great food! Fun atmosphere! Definitely a great NY style hidden treasure for the VA Beach area. Huge portions that are priced well. Pastrami, corned beef, and rye bread oh my!

I’ve been here before. However tonight was the last time I’ll ever return. I ordered corned beef hash. I always saw hash as being chunky. Their hash is fried mush. With everything turned to mush it’s hard to taste the actual ingredients. Beside the mushy taste they over fried it and it tasted burnt. As I said I’ll never return.

Very busy place but not for me. Crowded, Prices are high even though you do get enough in one sandwich for 4 people. Seems kinda gluttonous. I got the pastrami on rye but the bread was like store bought food lion style. The pickles were mushy. The waitress said that’s normal. I never in my life had a mushy pickle. Yuck. It’s different for Hampton roads but a far cry from a NY style deli. The experience didn’t meet the hype.

I just love this place. You will never be able to eat all your food. My waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. It reminded me of the deli’s I went to when I was young.

Food here is great and you’ll never leave hungry. Everything is big enough for two. The blitzes are awesome but so is everything I’ve had. Sandwiches are huge so I’m ok with the prices, which would otherwise be high.. Pretty unique options although not gourmet (no fancy aiolis but still done well).

One of the best places in the area. Every meal is enough to serve 2 people. The turkey and pastrami is incredible. The French fires are perfect everytime. And the cheesecake may seem pricey but the slice is enough for 3. You will not be disappointed.

It would be difficult for this place to avoid being overrated. It’s just a consequence of serving simple food at relatively high prices and to nearly universal acclaim. With that being said, it is pretty good and the service is better than some of the other reviews suggest. I do wish they had some lighter (by which I mean: smaller) options, if only so I could avoid wasting food.
