Rude awful people. We were having a fun time partying at city tavern and when we went to leave the workers decided to push us out and tell us we were wrong for not enjoying our time at the bar. We were physically abused upon leaving and it was the worst experience I have ever had at an establishment. Awful, awful place to have a drink.
Fun ambience, value, good food. We stumbled on this place looking for lunch in Manassas on a Saturday roam in the country. We’ve been back several times. Food isn’t fancy, but it’s good and uncomplicated. We share the chili as an appetizer – it has a subtle kick. The prime rib is reliably good, and it’s hard to find prime rib anywhere anymore, and not at these prices. Service is generally efficient, and the kitchen is fast. This is the kind of dependable restaurant that would be wonderful to have right around the corner – just right for a Friday night after a long work week, when you don’t feel like cooking. Thanks, City Tavern!

Service, ambience, quality & taste… it’s here!. Although not the fanciest, most comfortable or greatest food place, it’s kinda cool to walk into one of those few ‘real’ nice places, the place you want to meet your friends at!. You’ll find the well known fare and although not the best, it’s really good comfort food… you’ll enjoy a decent meal with a bit of real feel staff that care about you. This should be considered Manassas’ best kept secret as an edible historic landmark. My favorite consistent meal is the Monte Christo, WOW! Not many places can boast it, but it’s here and its good. Almost everything my friends and I have had here, is worth eating again. See you there!
