Ribs = yes, pulled pork = no. I lived in Memphis for 4 years, travel to Texas for work and went to college in the Carolinas. I wasnt expecting too much when some relatives gifted me a Groupon (they couldnt use it before moving out of town) and I had a mixed experience, but was glad I visited. – – Leaving happy is all about the right expectations, as a franchised location in Manassas doesnt scream real, down-home bbq. That being said, I was very impressed with the ribs, but the pulled pork wasnt my style (had been marinating in sauce) and didnt have a lot of smoke flavor. My dining partner enjoyed the chicken sandwich and we both thought their sauce had an interesting viscosity and texture, but the depth of flavor wasnt there. Sides were the kind to satisfy children, but the hushpuppies were overcooked and the cornbread was mass-market. – – Small place with two tables on the sidewalk outside, but plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall. I dont want to totally slam this place as there were a couple of guys that came in for to-go orders that seemed very happy, but I cant give it my seal of approval. Still, the ribs were great!
