Decent restaurant for South India food.Located in the clock tower, it serves limited options in veg and non veg dishes. We ordered the Veg South Indian meal – idlis, poori, dosa, sambhar and chutney (2 types). I really liked the Idlis, they were freshly made, soft and fluffy. The poori was decent. Dosa which took a longer time to be served was okish. We also Tried the goat Biryani as well which was okish. Few of the meat Pieces were a bit rubbery and the biryani could do with more masala, it was really dry.Prices are ok. Total cost was around 25$ for us.

Good food, reasonable prices but sporadic service. The restaurant is nice a bright but the location is difficult to find (next-door to Ned Devine’s) and parking in that area is poor. The seating area is a bit crowded with no clearly defined walkway to the rear of the restaurant – one path goes thru the narrowly-spaced tables and the other appears to be the server’s area. The restaurant wasn’t very busy but the partons appeared to be of the ethnicity of the restaurant’s cuisine which is always a good sign. Ultimately our party was seated in the rear of the restaurant so we could combine several tables for a party of 8. I arrived later, after 4 of our party had ordered appetizers. There was water on the table for 6 diners, oddly with no ice. After several minutes, our server arrived to take our dinner orders as the appetizers started to arrive. The appetizers were Chilly Garlic Potatoes, Vegetable Samosas and Channa Chaat. The Chilly Garlic Potatoes are effectively french fries coated with an interesting chili-garlic sauce and were quite good. The Vegetable Samosas were a large dish with chick peas, peas and other vegetables covering the Samosas. The Channa Chaat , a cold dish, had an excellent flavor with the spices nicely complimenting the yogurt sauce. I opted for the Chilly Garlic Rice with Chicken figuring that the portion wouldn’t be too large. The dish that arrived was HUGE – sufficient for at least 2 diners!! I’d opted for Medium heat and was sorely disappointed at the heat level. While the dish had flecks of red pepper, the heat level wasn’t even to the level of black pepper. Add to that a general lack of flavor and the dish was disappointing. At $9.99, it’s a great value but not very tasty. Service was the bigger problem – as the last guests arrived, we asked for more water. This took 2 requests and we requested refills at the same time. The 2nd request for refills resulted in add’l water glasses arriving AND refills which was fine but we’d asked for a pitcher so we could DIY. 2 diners had their orders forgotten and when 2 diners ordered tea, 1 requested it after dinner which resulted in both orders arriving after dinner. The food is good and as noted, the prices are reasonable. The restaurant has changed hands several times in the past 3-4 years and is showing it’s age which is unfortunate. Combined with sporadic service and we may try this restaurant again but not as a first-choice.
